I have irregular periods and I have three kids. Some months i have my period some i don't. On two of my kids we were trying and never got my period for months, so i was so disappointed when i wasn't prego. But then the next month i was even though I never got my period. SO I guess You can get pregnant even when you don't have regular periods, you can still ovulate. The Dr even said i didn't get pregnant when i was having my period, it was when i was not having it.

you likely aren't ovulating if you aren't having periods because you have to shed the lining of the uterus in order to start a new cycle. have you made any drastic changes in your life that could cause your ovulation to be interrupted? (extreme diet/exercise, stress, weightloss or weight gain?)

ANY TIME you have sex you risk the chance of pregnancy.

Whether you haven't had a period in ten weeks or if you have it once every two weeks.
