You might be smoking it too fast. It's called a buzz. I get them too if I smoke too quickly. Slow down when you have the cigarette in the a.m. Take more time between drags.

This is NOT a head rush from nicotine, this is your brain crying out for oxygen. Smoking, especially first thing in the morning robs you of the oxygen your brain has become accustomed to being smoke free while you slept. Do yourself a huge favor and quit smoking.

Nicotine withdrawl (if you want to call it that) is very fast. After a nites sleep, it's over, so you start the addiction, mild though it is, all over again.

This is normal for smokers. I get this also. It's the mad rush of nicotine that goes straight to your head. Think about it, your asleep for at least 6 hours a night and no cigs, then you get up and have one... it's like a head-rush that's all.
