A lot of people think it helps. But there's no clinical evidence that it does.

Airborne does not cure a cold but if you do not have a cold and are around sick people it may prevent you from coming down with a cold. I've used it and it seems to work. Zicam does not burn. I think that it is helpful if you have a cold or virus. It might burn a little if your nose is irritated. It has salt water in it. I hope that I answered your questions to your satisfaction. Good luck and be well.

So far, everyone in my office has gotten a cold. I have been taking airborne since the first person got sick...about 2 weeks ago. I have not even gotten the sniffles. I took it 3 times a day for the first week, now I take it 2 times a day. Zicam works for some people...for others it just makes them sneeze. My son can't use it, he sneezes for about 2 hours after he uses it.

It is difficult to test as you must take it at the first sign of a cold and that is almost impossible to test. I think it works somewhat, and is worth taking. If you are sick you are needing more Vit A, and Vit C is NOT toxic in the dosage suggested on the package. The CO2 gets the vitamins into your system faster, and gives you a "hit" much like Emergen-cee , which is a similar product.
Give it a try--the store brand generics are probably just as good. Also use antimicrobial wipes and all the other items in the arsenal again colds.

most of the active ingredients listed on the airborne package are destroyed by stomach acids....it does not work. Zicam, applied with nasal swabs, is much more effective as it is absorbed thru your nasal mucous membranes directly into the blood stream.

Airborne works quite well if you take it when you first feel symptoms. Zinc fizzy capsules or losenges work very well, and the chemoattractant qualities of zinc are well know medically (they attract white blood cells which kill germs to the area).
Once you are sick you are sick, though.

A friend of mine who works in a school says it works pretty well. The important thing is to take it at the first signs of illness.
