If you see any veins or arteries in your meat it is not a steak-cut. Steak is cut from muscle, veins and arteries do not run through muscles.

It is a hunk of flesh. Look at your arm. Use imaginary xray vision. What do you see??? muscles, fat, veins, arteries, ligaments, bone,. Now if you got the steak at a sleazy restaurant ...maggots, and tapeworms are probably there too(adding to the protein level). If it is all cooked, it is all dead.
