my husband has temporal lobe epilepsey (complex partial seizures) and it seems like his seizures come in rashes, and the other day one was so bad he said he was hearing a heartbeat, and was smelling bad things. Is there a way other than medication He can avoid having them?

He needs to continue his meds. If they are not working he needs to speak with his neurologist. He may be a candidate for a temporal recession. However, he will still be on meds after the surgery. There are many new drugs today that were not around 10 years ago.
