OK. In June 2007 I was 8 months pregnant and fixed lunch for my little girl and I. It was Dwight Yokums chicken fries. They are supposed to be boneless. I bit into it and a bone was in it. It went between my back teeth and my whole face was swollen and black and blue. Hurt like hell! The insurance company is only offering me $400.00. That seems to be off! First off I was pregnant so I could not take any meds but tylenol and hahahh that doesnt work for something like that. Second off, it said boneless. Third my pain and suffering. What would you do? Settle and take $400.00 or wait and get more? Who would you say to get for an injury lawyer? I had called one and he doesnt want to get mixed up in this case. HELP! Thank you to all who answer. If someone does the research for me I will give ya the 10!

I've been playing the electric guitar for about a year now, but everytime I bend a string it puts so much strain on my hands that it hurts. I tried losening up my joints and being very relaxed making sure I was not stiff but my hands are generally quite weak and its very hard for me to bend the strings with the control i want. I have to strain my whole arm so i can get the force to push the string up. I really have no muscle maybe thats why im having trouble?

Hey! First, I know it's a lot to ask of someone over the internet, but any advice is very much appreciated!

I just quit smoking recently, maybe 2-3 a day for about a year until now. Anyway, I'm looking to get back into my athletic ways from before, mostly running (I used to be fairly quick) and I'm looking for advice on a workout regime that would retrain me, basically from scratch since I kind of got lazy.

I'm 5'8", 148 and I really haven't been eating healthy for a while either - so, what I'm looking for is a plan that takes my previous bad health habits into account, as well as focusing on the muscle groups that are going to get me back into running shape in a few months. I'm not really looking for upper-body, mostly advice on cardio, legs, stomach and diet!

Anyway, I know it's a lot, but thanks!

Just saw one wisdom tooth begin to erupt, and I think they might have to come out soon (orthodontic work for 3 years). I have a strong fear of general anesthesia, the big issue being death while I'm out. I don't want to be sedated either because I had one tooth out when I was 8 and I had nitrous and it was way too freaky.

I had an impacted adult tooth removed when I was 14, this thing was way in the gum, you could only see it on x-ray. I requested that I stay awake and they kept me up. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. There was blood, grinding, pulling, and a big-*** needle but that didn't bother me as much as the sight of the dreaded general anesthetic equipment. I knew the lidocaine had no chance of death.

However, I'm concerned that the dentist may not do it with local alone even if I request it, because supposedly, wisdom teeth are different. Can this procedure be done awake?

My therapist seems to be having constant crises, and regularly cancels and reschedules appointments. I then begin my session listening to his latest problems. I am seeing him under the instruction of my doctor following a bereavement, but I have run out of NHS freebies and now have to pay, which I assume gives me the right to change therapists or stop. I think he is being unprofessional, what do you think?

A large piece of glass fell and cut my foot open 10 days ago.
Ive kept it cleaned and bandaged and the wound is almost closed.
Th ecut was on top of my foot 2 inches from my 4th toe
For the last few days if anything touches it lightly the pain is involutary and excrusiating!. My cat rest his paw cutely on my foot and I screamed like a maniac.
Is this a raw nerve that is healing ? the pain isnt surface, its slightly below the surface.
i can tgo to a doctor right now, im broke until january

so lately, i don't seem to be digesting as fast as i usually do. like, i could drink a gallon of water, and pee just the same. and i haven't done a #2 in like, 3 days. i'm usually pretty regular. if not everyday, it's every other day. and maybe this is the cause of my latest weight gain. i'm feeling chunkier lately. and i just don't know what's wrong.

Why are those who have AIDS/HIV the first highly infectious group to be free of quarantine?

Maybe it’s because we are Americans and have forgotten but TB and various other diseases that are highly infectious the government can come in and quarantine that person indefinitely.

Why is AIDS the only exception to the rule? I know a lot of Gay Rights advocates were mad when they decided they can try those who are infected with AIDS/HIV (if they unknowingly have unprotected sex with that person) with attempted murder but why is AIDs different?

AIDS can be managed like many other infectious diseases but what is it so special? Is it because the pressure the gay community puts on the issue? It is no different from TB in that it can spread and it’s highly infectious so why aren’t those who are carriers quarantined?

Why is AIDS different?

Smoking in a hospital, whats the deal. Your supposed to be healthcare providers. How can you tell a patient that smoking is bad for them when they see smoking as they walk in the hospital. Or when your treating them, you smell like cigarete smoke. That is not professional. Should smoking be banned from hospitals?

i got a 2nd hole in both ears about 3 weeks ago. yesterday mid day the back of the stud in my left ear REALLY started hurting and was sore to the touch i went home and twisted it and used the cleaning solution claires provided (i always do twice a day) and green stuff was on the cotton ball. my mom looked and said it was infected so last night i used some hydrogen peroxide and then later i went to bed. it was SO sore i couldnt lay on that side i almost cried it hurt so bad. this morning i put some peroxide on it felt better...no more green gunk. but i just put some more on and i did at 4:00 but when i put it on it like bubbles around the back....

how long will it take for this to heal??
any advice??

THANKS

I fell over the weekend so it's been about 4 days and the bruise looks worse. How do I get rid of it? It's not really painful unless I run. Otherwise it just looks horrible, purple/black.

In the middle of last year i had really dry hands. I used lotion but it would only make it sting. This year i got it again and it itches really bad and it feels like flour. My hands are constantly red and when i take a shower the water hurts my hands. I only have it on one hand but its starting to happen on the other hand. It espiccilaly worst at the knuckle area. I think it has something to do with the soap i use to wash my hands but im not sure since i had it lasat year to!
