i have recently been in 2 (medium) car accidents and sustained a couple of injuries. partially torn acl and miniscus in both knees. it has been 4 months since i was given a clean bill of health, but i still have from mild discomfort to a very aggravating pain in my legs (not necessarily always my knees) . my shins are always very sensitive to touch. if i bump them into something, lightning type pain at times. i was told i have a small cyst in both knees and was told it is no big deal, hmm. I have flat feet and wear orthodix. i have been limping for over a year and have even lost a job. anybody relate???

3 months ago I went to hospital after having a nervous breakdown. I was later told that it was mainly do to my lifestyle i was living( drinking, smoking dope, working night shoots) After this incident I was left with frequent anxiety attacks.

The Dr's I used perscibed me on pur bloka tablets( which apparently control addrenaline), and Espirade Capsules( which is an anti psychotic). After six weeks I was perscribed Cipramil to treat my anxiety.
During the course of my anxiety attacks I never once had depression. I may have been down for having anxiety issues but thats all. Now 3 months later I'm left with major depression. I don't find myself interested in activities which I once did. I feel totally un-attached from the environment around me, I find it difficult to get out of bed too. It just feels like i'm a walking zombie which has no enthusiasm for life.
Could the medication which was perscribed for my anxiety have caused me to become depressed? Please Help anyon

I saw an infomercial last night about "Ab Rocket" and how it significantly reduces neck and back strain. I already walk regularly and do 500 sit-ups a night (3 different kinds), so I'm not looking for something to build abs. I am mostly looking for an alternative for sit-ups since my neck does get very sore. I was wondering if "Ab Rocket" actually does work..or if there are any other products that might help?

(Again, I do not expect to lose 10 inches...I am just looking for a possible alternative.)

She had an outbreak at her daycare and they notified all parents on Monday. Today, I kept her at home with me as shes been running a fever. Appetite is great and she's going potty just fine. Regular bow. movements.

I've read that doctors wont administer anti biotic for mumps and it just has to run its course. Plus Mom and I really don't like hospitals and will only take her if its a true emergency.

One strange characteristic she's displayed though has me concerned. She makes these faces where she'll close her eyes and push her bottom teeth out forward. She's even shed tears during this time as well, looking like she's in pain. But if I distract her with anything, like a toy, she stops doing it and seems to be fine.

Any ideas?

And please...those that want to point fingers and say I'm not wise to take her in, I'd rather not hear from you. We will take her if problems persist but this is the first day shes ran a rather low fever. Tylenol has knocked it out.

There has been a bunch of talk about waterboarding being torture in the news lately. My question is "Is waterboarding torture?" By definition torture is ' (1)to cause intense suffering, (2)to punish or coerce by causing excruciating pain, or (3) to be cruelly painful.

From what I've seen of waterboarding it does not cause intense excruciating pain, it just immitates drowning. While that might be mentally taxing I'm not sure it equals torture.

So, right above the front of my right hip bone it had been hurting for a long, long time. I play competitive soccer, and there was always a nagging pain while a played. Soon, that area was always sore (when I was on and off the field). It continued for a long time without worsening and it didn't affect my running. It got worse and began to hurt when I coughed and sometimes when I played the saxophone. It also hurts when i "suck it in" alot. In the last week the pain suddenly got a lot worse to the point where I can't play soccer. In one game I played about 5 min. and was in relatively severe pain, but it hurt the worst when I coughed while I was standing on the sideline. Help!?!?!

Hey, I'm in High school and this really bothers me. I can't pee in the restrooms unless I'm in a stall. When I try to pee while standing at the Urinaries I just can't, I could stand there for hours.... Is this a normal thing? Any one knows how I can get over my "fear"? (Mature answers please, and no I got no problems with my size, its quite big actually, so that's not the problem)
