A large piece of glass fell and cut my foot open 10 days ago.
Ive kept it cleaned and bandaged and the wound is almost closed.
Th ecut was on top of my foot 2 inches from my 4th toe
For the last few days if anything touches it lightly the pain is involutary and excrusiating!. My cat rest his paw cutely on my foot and I screamed like a maniac.
Is this a raw nerve that is healing ? the pain isnt surface, its slightly below the surface.

Well im not a doctor nor am I qualified to make accesments so you shouldn't take any merit in my responce and should consult a doctor. Now for my responce. Hurting a nerve will take a while to heal i believe if that was the case. Or maybe a nerve is being touched through the open sore. If it feels like a nerve pain then it probably is being irritated or was hurt. I know how not having money can mess up and worry us when we are hurt. I would suggest finding a low payment clinic of sorts to have it looked at. Umm that is about all i can say. If the pain only aggreviates when its touched directly and not when you move your foot or such then it might just be an irritation. could be an infection but you said you were taking care of it. Get better and get some help. adios

Of interest, a cut nerve is actually less painful. You would also notice some loss of feeling distal to the cut. Alternatively, infection is usually warm, red, swollen and painful.

Do you think that a piece of the glass is still inside? This makes the most sense, given the location and timing.

Either you hit a nerve or it's infected; that's my guess.

Acupuncture, which involves inserting thin needles into various points on your body, may reduce peripheral neuropathy symptoms.
