ADD often can be confused with depression as one of the major signs of depression is inability to concentrate as well as physical aggitation ( hard to be still).

Some one can certinally have ADD and depression at the same time. However, if they did not have ADD before the depression it would be likely that they come on together.

To me it sounds like depression symptoms. Luckily depression is extremely treatable! See a therapist and psychiatrist, you should be back on top in no time :)

i believe so. ive been very depressed lately; i can see its effect on me in school. i might not have the motivation to do my school work, or i might not concentrate in class because something is bothering me

Yes, it's hard to concentrate when you don't feel good physically or mentally.
