I'm a 14 year old boy and I have a lump in my chest right under my left nipple. I was just wondering if men can get breast cancer because I know that 2 of my aunts had cancer and my grandma died of cancer. Also is cancer always in the form of tumors? Thanx

I took Plan B a little over a week ago. I got my period yesterday and it has been rather heavier than normal with more light cramping than normal. I know this is a possible side effect. I've only had to change my pad like three times in a day. The thing is... when I sit down to pee the blood and some clots pour out of me. It doesn't come out until I'm on the toilet. Other than that it looks pretty normal on my pad. What's up with that?

I've been depressed for a quite a while and finally I've told my mother about it and with the fact that I plan to seek for professional help. Unfortunately, in my society, seeking psychiatric help equates to being crazy so she took my confession the wrong way. She’s barely talking to me nowadays and was really cold whenever I am around.

The question is, is the disease permanent? Will I ever recover without seeking professional help/taking meds?

I'm too nice to people. I never argued with anyone because I don't know how to defend myself. Whenever someone says mean things to me, I just ignore it.

That's why I don't have no more friends. Whenever they say mean things, I just ignore them and never talk to them again.

Is there a counselor that would help me defend myself? Or is there a book that have a guide on how to defend youself with words?

I want to try an antidepressent, but I don't want a kind that has side effects...such as gaining weight. I talked to this one girl and she said she gained 70lbs from a kind she was on! How is it that a drug MAKES you gain weight? Does it increase your appetite or just make your body hold on to fat more? I know with hormones, however, it's a different thing all together. How is it though, that a side effect of a drug can actually increase your weight? Is it possible to control this effect? Thanks for any input.

I have a really weird wandering eye. My brain will only focus on one eye at a time and sort of ignore the other one, so the neglected eye will drift off, although it doesn't get fuzzy vision or anything. I thought maybe I had a lazy eye, but usually lazy eye affects one eye and leads to poor vision. However, both of my eyes have equally good vision, it's just that I can't focus using both of them.
What could be causing that, and is there a way to learn to focus both of them at the same time? I was cross-eyed as a child and had to have surgeries - could this have something to do with this?

my husband got this by accident but it turns out thats all they had anyway ...im an herbalist not a homeopath and I dont know how to use this. I have a 2 and 3 year old with bronchitis and I normaly use lobelia herbal extract in a apple cider vinegar base 2 droppers fulls as needed. The directions on the homeopathic dropps says .25ml three times per day but that seem so little and is definatly not working as my lobelia extract does.. Is there a difference for maintainace dosing and acute dosing as with herbal extracts? How much and how often can I use this homeopathic version of lobelia for acute conditions.

Thanks in advance.

(((please only real knowledgeable help...dont tell me to see a doctor..)))

I have had a laptop for a few months now and I love that I can use it in so many different places around the house: in my easy chair, in my bed, on the dining table, on the go.

However, I notice all these aches and pains afterwards and they are getting worse. And I know it is because my posture and hand positioning, etc are not correct.

I need some help with ergonomics here...but I don't want to sacrifice the flexibility that defines use of a laptop. It seems silly to have all that mobility and then restrict myself to a proper desk.

I posted this in the medical section, because even though I am talking about my computer, it is a health concern. Of course, if you can help, I will listen to anyone, but I was hoping to hear from a physical therapist or similar type trained person. I'm sure that professional computer users who are prone to repetitive use injuries will be able to weigh in as well.

Thanks for your help!

A friend of mine has cancer and needs someone to come in and help her. She can't get around at all without help. What should we look for as far as a good home health care person? Does the Dr. need to set this up? We are going to start looking tomorrow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am 12 yrs, 5 "3, and 110 pounds. I recently lost 8 pounds, i just checked. I was on vacation so I thought I gained weight. I look really fat. I am an early bloomer and so I almost look like I'm 16 and I hate it. Am I fat? I do excersize, I swim occasionally and I do gymnastics once a week for an hour. I'm going on a sugar free diet next week (ive tried it b4, it helps) but how else can I lose weight?
