I had some blood work done because I have multiple swollen lymph nodes, I was tired, and I had sore muscles.
The blood work came back positive for something called "valley fever."
aside from a little tired, occasional headaches, sore muscles and swollen lymph nodes... I feel fine.
So I was a little freaked out when I read on the internet that you could die from this, and that there's a "Valley Fever Survivors" web page.
Am I going to be really sick and possibly die? I'm only 17 and I feel pretty healthy...

I am a lady in my 60's and have RLS. I will NOT take prescription drugs for the condition. Has anyone found relief with over the counter dietary supplements? For example..Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, Glucosamine, chondroitin. Or some other type of vitamin? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I don't want to take prescription drugs as they seem to have way too many side effects.

I have lived my whole life as a healthy guy....until May 18th....when an Anxiety disorder reared its ugly head, shortyly after my wife and i's miscarrage. Well of corse, being a realist, i caould not see how some mental anguish could affect me...but boy was i in for a suprise. General Anxiety Disorder! Thats what its called, a common mental ailment, known for causing similar symptoms of more 'serious' conditions such as, tumors, heat attacks, and strokes....Honestly now, how can you NOT get freaked out when your throwing football with the guys and BAM you get suddenly dizzy and feel like your about to feint. Its no joke, and its not funny.

The worst thing in this world is dying from cancer. The thing in this world thats almost as bad, thinking everyday you are dying from the unkown.

________Hi, im writing a book on Anxiety, and my intro will go something along them lines. what do you all think?

I suffer from depression, lack of concentration/focus/memory. I basically want a better brain/mind/emotional health (also tired a LOT). When I get down, I get really down, like very hopeless. I hate that feeling. Also I am about to start some college courses and noticed I just can't concentrate or retain any of the information. I have to make this work. Is there one good combo or do I need to get a whole bunch seperately? I've tried St johns wort, I've noticed I get a little calmer and sleepy but nothing major. Any recommendations? I am looking for Natural remedies please, I've been on RX and the side effects were horrible. Thanks

I am fascinated by the work of Thomas Szasz, but as a staunch objectivist I can't believe in his opinions if current scientific evidence can't support it. I know that the origins of Schizophrenia are unknown at this point but has anyone read up on research that either supports Szasz or rejects Szasz? I ask this because at this point in my psychological career I've become sceptical of the biological origins of such disorders as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, from observation and study I have come to believe that these disorders are more psychologically based rather then biologically based. My opinion is unfounded scientifically but I hope someday to try to find evidence to support or refute my position and that of Szasz. And what better way to start my journey in finding the truth behind the most mysterious of mental illnesses then to ask people on yahoo answers lol.

I had chest pain today and eventually went to the hospital. Other symptoms were pain in my upper lefthand back and more pain with movement. I did have a bit of sweating and a heavy feeling when I got up. Symptoms would increase when I exerted myself. They did the normal blood work and my D-dimer test showed a positive, somewhere in the middle is what the nurse said. I had a VQ scan that came back as a low possibility of clot in the lung, but it wasn't negative. Tomorrow I am having a ultrasound on my legs.

If they don't find anything, should they be doing anything else? I've read a little bit about it and it seems like there could a clot from somewhere else possibly, or even another underlying disease.

I can't imagine that this chest pain is just a fluke. This is not something that is common for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Well Im going through a rough stage in my life.

I am fearing that I have schizophrenia, as I am hearing voices.. sounds kinda like they need to clear their throat. It gets mad when it hears laughter.

I also do see some things that others cannot, and even a re-appearing person every here and there. When I start talking to him people give me the dirtiest looks.. like "wtf" looks and it really hurts my feelings. People tell me I'm going crazy and stuff and like, ugh..

But yes, the most annoying thing would have to be the voice that I keep hearing! It tells me to do things and most of the time I don't but I did listen to it once and light a fire in the woods, but then I got scared and quickly turned it out. Maybe I have a split-personality or something? Should I telll my parents about this?

P.S: I'm a 14-year old male.
