The CA-125 test which is a test to check for markers that relate to ovarian cancer is not always accurate. In fact it is often very highly inaccurate and most insurance companies will not cover it except as last resort.

Other medical conditions that can cause inflammation such as arthritis (and even like fibromyalgia for example), endometriosis, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn's can cause that test to have high levels.

I used to know of someone who had a friend that got the test done and it showed high but they treated her for the wrong kind of cancer. They thought she had ovarian cancer and it turned out that it was not that one but colon cancer. Because of the mistake she died.

I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently see.

Yes, for special varieties of melanoma there are signs that may be located within the blood. These are almost always essentially the most traditional varieties of. If you believe you studied whatever even though, pass and notice a surgeon because the blood scan outcome might not be enough to have a transparent analysis. If you're afraid you would have anything, the previous you pass, the higher are your probabilities for an robust cure. A lot of it may be cured in these days. Don't wait!!
