Any stimulant will increase memory for a short time. Unlike caffiene, nicotine will then give you a decreased memory capacity in the medium and long term due to it's characteristic oxygen buffering capabilities.
There really is nothing good about smoking.

I have never heard that. Take a folate supplement which may increase memory absorption or try ginko biloba. Caffeine can actually help in postmenopausal women over 65, but no such luck with men of the same age.
