I took Plan B a little over a week ago. I got my period yesterday and it has been rather heavier than normal with more light cramping than normal. I know this is a possible side effect. I've only had to change my pad like three times in a day. The thing is... when I sit down to pee the blood and some clots pour out of me. It doesn't come out until I'm on the toilet. Other than that it looks pretty normal on my pad. What's up with that?

Plan B contains masses of hormones, so what you are going through sounds normal. After a while you should be back to normal.

Sounds normal after using Plan B. You are essentially forcing your body to have a period and the hormones affect how heavy the flow is. Meaning your uterine is shedding earlier or later than it normally would therefore it is just more intense. If you start to see an increase in the flow or start to feel weak than I would call your doctor but otherwise this will mostly start to calm down in the next couple of days. I commonly have this happen monthly just because I have a heavy flow and although it is a little nerve raking it has not caused me any problems. If you have doubts though, don't hesitate to contact your doctor or the nurse. They are there to help you so stay in contact if you have concerns. Also the clots don't take much time to form so they often look crazy but are pretty common.
