A rotator cuff is a part of your body.

A TORN rotator cuff is an injury that can only be treated by pain meds and, eventually, surgury.

I just had surgury for this condition last February. My doctor described the damage part as appearing very much like a piece of bacon in appearance and fragileness. The total recovery time may take as much as a year, and even longer, for some. The surgury can also have a pretty high failure rate, especially for those that try to do too much too soon. Many people have to have this done 3 or 4 times before it takes, if at all.

I'm not suggesting you don't do it. The pain from that injury can be intense enough to make any use of that arm impossible. By all means, get it done if you can. But, be warned, it is not an instant cure. Recovery is a long process.

Back surgury has a much quicker recovery time.

If any of the four muscles are torn then not it is not curable without surgery.

I had to have surgery. It was done as an outpatient.
