Don't just give up! Ask your doctor what other possibilities he/she may be investigating and don't be shy about asking them to send you to a specialist for a second opinion. You didn't mention your symptoms, but no matter what they are - if you are not feeling well, then you need to keep searching for the cause(s). If all else fails - look for a new doctor yourself. Good luck.

stay away from smoke and alcohol
get lots of fresh air and water
plenty of sleep ( a good eight hours is great!)
eat a balanced diet and make sure you are getting enough nutrients, vitamins, minerals, etc...
avoid stress and the sources of stress.
try all this and then let us know...
also try talking to a nurse or nurse practioner, sometimes they see what's going on, on a regular basis, and can pinpoint something right away.
what are your symptoms, maybe we can narrow it down.

Check your blood/sugar level 2 hours after eating some doughnuts. It only takes a minute.

Maybe changing your diet might help, or exercising or learning meditation. Maybe doing something you really enjoy for twenty minutes a day will help you feel better.
