I have been having a lot of problems with recurring constipation and have wanted to try a colon cleanse to get rid of the compacted stools. I just have a feeling that there are stools that are stuck in my bowels. My diet isn't terrible but isn't good either. Can you give an natural recommendations or commercially available colon cleanses that would loosen the compacted stools? I have seen a bunch of websites that try to see these. Which is good for this?

I've never smoked before in my life but I have a full pack of Marlboro 100s on my computer desk right now. I'm not underage or anything but I was wondering what would be the pros and cons of smoking?

I heard it boosts your metabolism dramatically, helps reduce stress (Both are something that I need) but as cons you get cancer and have heart and lung trouble.

Should I smoke or not? What are the pros and cons?

Please, if you know any pros and cons let me know. And don't just say "dont smoke" without telling me the pros and cons.

I mean really, if i were to do situps.. would 1 situp count as like a salt grain of fat burned off?

is there a site where i can measure how much i would need to do to burn xx amount of fat in a selected amount of time?

I heard some people saying a full days workout does make a difference, and i heard others say that you wont burn anything.. that results take time...

I understand how hard it can be to workout and not see results right away.. but it would be nice to know somethings goin on inside ya know? or atleast you know your getting the relative results your aiming for in your set amount of time..

Its hard to explain...

I want to burn xx fat by next (insert day), how much (insert suggested exercise) do i need to do to make it happen?

along with staying below (number) (calory/carb/sugar/whatever) daily.

Is there a site that calculates this or maybe a guide that helps you do this? Much thanks in advance!

Scenic Mountain Medical in Big Spring, Tx policy is the following according to their website:

Any patient having inadequate insurance coverage, or no insurance coverage, will be requested to make appropriate deposits at the time of admission
You will be asked to pay any co-pays or deductibles not covered by your insurance at the time of service.

Even thos it does state this on their website. My son was still denied a payment plan even tho his insurance would have paid 90 percent.
My son could have died if we just have walked out of the hospital. His doctor told him to go straight to Midland right away which is 45 mins away. It took the emergency room their another 4 hours and they performed the surgery that night at 10:38.

its coming up on 10 years that i have been on birth control pills and although they are low dose and i've never experienced any of the side effects (nor do i smoke) i'm concerned about being on them for much longer. i am only 24 but i'm not sure if i should get off them or not because of the possible long term side effects that could affect me down the road. i've been on them for so long because i don't want any children and i still don't want any children so i'm considering tubal litigation or the essure procedure. however one of the reasons i got on the pill was to control my period because it was VERY PAINFUL to the point where i'd pass out...so i'm scared to get off and have to experience that again. any ideas, suggestions, comments on what i should do?

My doctor gave me the pill form of provera (medroxyprogesterone) to delay my period for my vacation....well it worked and i had no side effects while taking the pill (5 mg a day for 10 days)...but about a week after the last pill some side effects start to hit me like bad cramping..i went to the doctor and they said i was fine...but my question is...is there any time limit of when my delayed period will return? I know that my body is getting back on track and is probably all messed up bc of this..but my period still hasnt come on yet..its been 8 days since my last pill. Could it take..days or even weeks for it to get back to normal?

thank you

I hate being around people. I am quite content being alone. Some people have been telling me that it is unnatural to be this way. I have always believed it to be a matter of personal preference. Is it true what people have been saying that I do in fact have a disorder/problem because I don't like to be around other people? Social Anxiety Disorder seems to come up frequently.

I have had an EXTREMELY sore throat since Monday (August 20th) and have been to the doctor's 3 times now. Everytime I swallow it feels like glass is tearing the back of my throat, the corners of my lips are sore and cracked, I have several ulcers (both on my lips and on my tongue), I have white spots on the roof of my mouth and a few right near my tonsils, my throat and tonsils are VERY red and inflamed and a few zits around my mouth. I have been told by the hospital and my GP that I do not have tonsilltis, but a severe pharyngitis. Is there anyone who can recommend anything to relieve the pain? I am currently drinking bucket loads of water, taking ibuprofen, sucking throat drops and eating milk pops, but would appreciate any other ideas... as it's like sharp glass everytime I swallow! :-(

Without getting into too much detail, about 10 months ago, I severely injured my back(thoracic area) . As far as imaging can tell, there is no skeletal damage or nerve issues, it can only be muscles. At best, I'm at a 5 on the pain scale, and I'm normally 6 or 7. This is with both CR and IR oral morphine(30mg BID and 15mg q4-6 PRN, respectively), a NSAID, and gabapentin. I had to stop Flexoril because of blood pressure issues (92 systolic). I spend at least an hour or two daily very nauseous from the pain. PT hasn't worked yet and I've run out of insurance, so the only treatment I can do right now is the TENS unit I have at home.

Here's my question though: Once a month or so, I have an episode of unprovoked intense pain, the only time I'm willing to say that I hit 10/10 on the pain scale. It can last up to an hour. Nothing I have can do anything. Is it possible to get any kind of injectable analgesic to keep at home for this case? Also, would a physician write for anything like this?

he came back from a buisness trip. we've been separated for a long time, and he started to tell us that theres something wrong with him
and then when i finally got it out of him he told me he has diabetes, and he only knows it but he didnt go do anyhthing about it witha doctor, i think he has type 1 because hes gone through a dramatic weight loss, stress and hes tired, also hes starting to lose touch at the end of his fingers. what can i do?? i mean can he survive without insulin? i dont htink he wants to go to the hospital because hes the a citizen yet, which would cost a lot of money. :(

I am writing a horror novel. Two little boys witness the brutal murder of one of their parents. However, while they cannot talk about it, one of the boys draws a picture depicting how the murder took place. Is there a medical term that describes such a condition that affects a person mentally like this and if so what are the details of it. I will need the help of psychiatrist on this one.

After I graduated from college, I worked sixteen hours a day 6 to 7 days a week writing and photographing every day for ten years plus working out one hour a day. A year ago, I started getting awful pains everywhere. I got lots of tests and it turns out I have ulnar nerve and medial nerve damage in both arms four ruptured disks in my back and numb legs and feet. Now anything I do hurts really badly. I want to completely rest for six months or so because I can barely work at all. (I probably shouldn't even be typing this), but technically there is no specific disease I have. Can I apply for gov't disibility based on those problems with a chance of getting approved?
