I worked for a Dermatologist, in North Seattle, for over 8 years. During my 8 years there, we had two patients with leprosy come in.

Leprosy is in the U.S. In fact there is a clinic in Seattle which only treats leprosy.

It almost exclusively arrives with people from third world countries, or people who travel a great deal to other contries. Sometimes people who handle a lot of armadillos also contract leprosy, as armadillos are carriers.
