Oxycodone is generic for Percocet. There is no codeine in it. It is a narcotic pain medication derived from Thebaine, arelative of codeine. The 325 is the dosage of Tyelnol, NOT of Oxycodone... that much Oxycodone would kill ANYONE. There should be another number on the bottle, either 5, 7.5, or 10. That is the amount of Oxycodone. The person who said the chemical name is Oxycontin is incorrect (just as they are about the Codeine being in it). Oxycodone is the active ingredient in Oxycontin as well, but Oxycontin has no Tylenol in it.

It's a pain management drug. It's a combination of Oxycontin(?) and codeine. It can be diagnosed for any number of things from musculo-skeletal injuries to dental pain management.

Is a pain medication.And 325mg is a lot.Be very carefull with this drug,is very addicted and if not taken as prescribe it could cause serious side effects.

pain as in tooth extration, the 325 mg is tyenol dose what the front nu. 5mg ? that the oxycodone dose.
