ive heard that if you lie down on the floor when a lift is moving it breaks your back. is this true??

ask the mythbusters. they might do it and then everyone can know. but i doubt it since hospitals put people on gurneys in elevators and move them that way.

No! A moving lift will not break your back.

Unless your standing upright when it crashes out of control to the ground.

In fact in a book called 'How to Survive Everything' (or something like that) states that if the lift is crashing you are supposed to lie flat on the floor, (jumping requires too much luck in timing it right.)
