I am experiencing facial swelling for the second time after taking Advil and I have a cold that is breaking my bones. I'd like to take something to alleviate the muscular pain but i am afraid I will make things worse. Called my doctor and he is unavailable...convenient! PLease help!

after a accident cauing presure on my brain about a month ago
i have been left with petit mal a form of epilepsy
i couldnt remember anything and i was confused
i still have rouble remembering names of stuff and small stuff like that
it's horrible i forget thing's people have just told me
how long will it last

Fractured my fibula 61/2 weeks ago, doc said I'd have to wear cast "walking" for 6 weeks, I have cast off and seem fine, no pain just very stiff joints, ankle a bit swollen. am I walking on it too much? are there some stretches can do so it don't feel so stiff?

I went to the doctor today because last night I had a sinus headache, earache, tiny bit of sore throat (maybe some whit patches, not sure), and I woke up feeling 10 times worse. But the doctor barely looked at my ears, throat, etc, and was more worried about whether or not I had any pain in my stomach, any trouble urinating, etc. Then he said I had a virus. I'm just very confused as to what all of this means, and why he was more concerned about my stomach than anything else. Anyone got any ideas?

my friend is depressed and cries all the time. she has a boyfriend who is really supportive but she is away from him at the moment because she is on a school trip. i feel really bad because our different college subject courses means that we see less of each other and i think our friendship has suffered because of this. how can i make her feel better?

I was wondering if anyone had any clues about what could cause the following symptoms:

-sudden lethargy after certain times in day especially after being out in the cold (food does not help)
-always feeling cold (have not always been this way)
-migraines
-all over joint pain
-all over skin and muscle pain/ extreme sensitivity
-irratable (due to tiredness)
-extremities turning blue-ish

This is all rather recent (last 3 months). I am not cold in the weather as long as I move. As soon as I stop, it's pain and extreme fatigue, then headaches. Food, warm showers, bundling up, etc. have not seemed to work.

Any ideas?

I have noticed that whenever someone posts a question about their mental health problem, several people post ridiculous answers about how finding god will fix it all; or crystals and cutting out sugar; or visiting a chiropracter, of all things.
As someone who knows what serious depression is like, I am offended and angry when I see this. Talking to jesus, eating only raw foods, or paying a scientologist to hook me up to a biofeedback machine are things that are completely futile and have no bearing on mental health issues. Mental health involves chemical levels in the brain. It's true that what you do with your body affects these chemicals; but it will not cure depression any more than it will cure paranoid schizophrenia or psychopathic tendencies. So are the people who answer in this way merely ignorant, or are they prejudiced against the mentally ill? Discuss. ;)
