A friend swears it cured his athlete's foot. Do any of you have stories to tell? Opinions to give?

Thanks!

If urine therapy had any merits, then you would expect people with gout and uremia from kidney failure to be healthier than people without these problems because these conditions would be similar to drinking urine. Gout causes deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints (very painful). People with kidney failure die - so does drinking urine sound like a good idea to you? Drinking urine causes temporary uremia that is virtually indistinguishable from acute kidney failure. Seems like a stupid way to treat athlete's foot, when you can use foot powder instead.

urine therapy is just another ploy by someone who has not much experience with the human anatomy and diseases that affect such.
urine therapy is thought of as treatment for many things, including cancer. this is totally false.

for those that claim a cure all with any type of naturopathic /herbal remedies are breaking the law! passed in 1999, finalized by 2001.

most of the hype is basically getting one to believe to the extent that when they try these, they think it cured them. stress has a lot to do with disease these days. if a person stresses of a mosquito bite, that bite will become what seems a mountain. when someone swears up and down on a certain un-studied treatment and the person believes it, they can magically make the bite go away! chances are whatever it is that is ailing them wasn't cured by this type of treatment, better yet, whatever it was served its natural course!

'cure alls' are a hoax and a mere way for someone to make money off of those who are desperate.

urine therapy? i think not! even though supposedly it is what many consider steril, even when someone processes it, your basically still drinking urine (and water).

so drink up with a refreshing glass of water...chances are if you can convince yourself that the glass of water can cure you, it can!
mind over matter-at least against minor health issues!

I did think they were taking the piss when this was on tv, and I really still don't believe it - except as a symbolic, psychological sort of thing. Urine seems like something the body is trying to get rid of, so I'd be surprised if putting it back in did any good.
