If the operation was for primary brain tumor =malignant glioma usually, a few weeks to to heal and then chemotherapy together with radiation. If to take away a ,metastasis, a few weeks, if for insertion of an Ommaya reservoir for leptomenigeal disesase =cancer spread around the brain and in the linings , a few days,
so it depends -but all in all not very many weeks, cancer grows!

Depends on the type of cancer (brain type) wether or not it is indicated etc. Sometimes only radiation is offered. All the best. for alternate treatments for brain tumors you may wish to visit www.facr.or and read survivor stories. God Bless

my sister just had a mastecomy and they made her wait 1 month after to start chemo. Whoever is your cancer victim, I am sorry and will keep in my prayers.
