Do you mean your abdominal fat? Because when I read "need to lose stomach", I panicked for your health for a second. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure you need your stomach to survive.
In any case, crunches, sit-ups, and the like are good for burning abdominal fat. Try to exercise in the morning, maybe for about half an hour each day, and you'll see improvement.

well you have a lot of time so I would use it. I would recommend the abs diet book. you can get it at wal mart or any bookstore. The key is cardio get on the treadmill, exercise bike, or just jog, since it is so boring I would use headphones, watch tv, or read, while doing it watch your diet and just sweat all the unwanted fat away. read mens and womens fitness mags, they are loaded with get in shape for summer programs.

Do cardio exercise to burn fat, and ab exercises to target your stomach muscles. You can do a search online for ab exercises if you are unsure what to do or want more variety than you are already familiar with (there are more options than just lying on the floor doing crunches).
Good luck!

Do lots of sit ups, take up running, cycling, get a mini trampoline.
Sit ups would hit the place you want most I would think.
