It didn't work for me. Each person has different reasons their skin breaks out. Mine is hormone related, which is why proactive didn't help my skin. You could have the same problem. Talk to a dermatologist.

I have been using ProActiv for about a year and it works just fine for me. I do have an occasional blemish, but for the most part it works just fine.
I think it may depend on the severity of your acne. And I have also heard that over time your skin does become resistant to the treatment. I would recommend that you see a dermatologist and get something more suited to your skin condition and type.

I use it and it doesn't seem to clear my face at all. I was just about to ask this question, so i figure i may as well give you my advice on it. I LOVE the way it makes my skin feel. Since i've been using it it seems like it's been so much softer. That is probably my favorite benefit of it. From what i hear though, it gets worse before it gets better. I guess ill have to try using it a little longer to find out the real results.

I have used proactive and it work to reduce the acne, but it was really harsh and dries my skin out really bad. Once I stop using it my acne did come back even worse. I have triead alot of products..youthful essence, mary kay, all the store products and probably more I can't even remember.
The one that worked best for me is BeautiControl's All Clear products. They even have a body wash.
You can find it and more information on the site listed below under source or you can email me.

For some people it does work, but when I tried it, it did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and only made my acne worse! You have to give it a while though because what Proactive does at first is gets all of the yuckiness out of your skin, and you will break out. But if you continue to break out and it doesn't get any better (like me) Then stop using it.

I used to use it and it didn't do anything for me...it's probably all a big scam...in fact, my acne got worse...I walked to my doctor, and he gave me this prescripiton called "Differin" I use it evey day before and after I go to bed. It works so much better than ProActive. I would suggest trying that. Go to your doctor and get a couple sample mini-tubes and try it out.
Hope that helps!

That is exactly what happened to me! I used it for five weeks...it cleared up the acne on my nose and cheeks but it got A LOT worse on my forehead...it was red and greasy...gross! Dump proactive--get a prescription from your doctor or use Mary kay...Mary kay works a lot better but it takes a while for your acne to clear up...or try neutrogena...I HATE PROACTIVE!

I love the stuff. I rarely get a pimple now. Do you use all three products in the system?

after a while, if it does clear up your skin, your skin will get addicted to it, and when you DONT use it, you will break out.
