If possible have hard floors which are swept regularly throughout the time you are at home and washed once a day. Get rid of as many soft furnishings as you can. Keep kids soft toys behind closed doors unless playing with them. Keep windows open for as much of the day as you can. The most important thing is to clean clean, clean!!

some say honey also helps, it has not for us, but may be worth a try. Despite all of the above we still have piriton, certrizine plus nose and eye drops on a daily basis - and the cat lives next door!!

I've just been told i am allergic to my cats (the eldest is 12 yr old!)
I just hoover and wipe everything down with a damp cloth. I wash the bedding on 60 degrees and try to keep them out of the bedrooms (not easy when you have 4 cats). I also sit outside and brush them regularly.
