I have a receding chin and braces..Ive had braces for almost 4 years now. And i still have a slight overbite
Can my braces fix my receding chin???

Yesterday, when I was sitting down on my chair and I was on the computer working on school things - My heart started to really heart. I put my hand on where my heart is and like when I pushed I felt a lot of pain and when I breathed it hurted too. I don't know how long the pain lasted , it lasted (i guess) for a little more than a couple of minutes.

A few days before I felt a little pain in my heart. And, just a few seconds ago i can barely feel pain but I felt something and it lasted for 1 second.

I dont' want to make this into a big deal when it's nothing, but I'm afraid something can be wrong - I don't think my heart would hurt for no reason.

I recently went for some blood work and they the lab were supposed to fill in 7 tiny bottles as i had lots of tests.To my surprise, from the right hand no blood came out.Then when they took the other hand , only 2 bottles were filled and then suddenly blood stopped and they could not fill the other bottles.Just to let you know i was on a 12 hour fasting the night before as sugar fasting test was also one of the tests.

I asked the Dr and the Lab girl about the whole epsiode and they said it was ok as it happens sometimes and they were asking me if i had any water at all but i did not have water as i was asked to fast and was not sure if i can have water or not.....Anyways i am going for the remainder of the test again with fasting but will have water this time....Pls advise if this thing was ok for the blood to not come out ...Should i be worried?????Pls let me know...

I am a 33year old married woman and my Mother died just before Thanksgiving 06, I miss her terribly of course but I just go on with 'normal' everyday life now, not because she would want me to, but because what else can I do? I never really took time to 'grieve or say goodbye in my own way'. Dad and I did all the caregiving for her at home (about 6 months of it), until the morning she let go. Am I ok? It seems like I should be balling or taking time off from life to do some sort of greiving process or SOMETHING...

I go to the GYN every 6 months to get my Pap Swear and my physical, I never had any STDs but for some reason I keep getting back abnormal Pap Swears, what does that mean? A few times they said I had to get a Colopscolpy, and they said they didnt see anything. So what gives? Does this happen to you? Any GYNs here, what does an abnormal pap swear mean?

I took her in to the dentist and they gave her amoxicillan 500 mg and made her an appointment in another month. My question is will she be ok waiting a month for treatment. The abscess doesn't look like its getting any better and i've heard it can lead to more problems.

I was in a Car Accident in May of 06, about 8 months ago. I was rear-ended. I was stopped, the other guy was going 30 mph or so, enough to total my car.

I had bad neckpain and had myself checked out. The doc prescribed Painkillers, ice, and physical therapy. I did physical therapy for months, and that helped a lot. But it still hasn't gone away completely. A lot of times it goes away(or is tolerable pain) for weeks, but then it comes back.

I'm sick of going to the doc every 6 weeks telling him it still hurts. And i'm sick of thinking I'm past this only to find the pain coming back. This is worse because the doc keeps telling me I shouldn't be in pain. As if I'm making it up. He's given me xrays, but it didn't show anything.

Is it possible for a neck injury to last this long? Am I doing something wrong with my neck excersizes? I'm getting really frustrated. ANY help or info would be appreciated. thanks

I was just wondering what orthognathic surgery for those with severe bilateral complete cleft lip and palate turns out like. I've had bone grafting to repair all the missing bone in my gums earlier in my childhood and it's great to see my teeth are perfectly straight! No more teeth are missing because I had more surgical intervention to extract teeth. In several months time, I'm due for an appointment with the orthognathic surgeon and the surgery itself. I'm not sure how it's going to turn out, so I'm really nervous. Any experiences anyone can share?

I also wanted to make a note that yes...like other threads have said, it is hard for people to get past appearance BUT, even though I had to put up with lots of teasing in primary, besides the three people who gave me a hard time, I was highly respected. I have good male and female friends. Character matters.

Then again ever getting a date sounds like a nightmare. Lol.

Hi, I'm 16, 5'7", and weigh about 120. Most of my body is thin, but I have a ridiculous stomach. I look like I'm about to give birth unless I'm consciously keeping my belly flat. I exercise and eat pretty normally (though I do have celiac disease, so I can't eat any wheat products), but this stomach won't go away. My friends just think it's funny and think that my ability to look like I've got a beer gut is a fun trick.
