Sure, it's good. Obviously, it's advisable to work up to a certain distance or you risk injury. It really depends on what your goals are. Anything is better than pushing a hole in the couch all day.

You'll get the best results from any exercise program by mixing things up. Maybe a long slow run one day, then a faster shorter run the next, a rest day, then slow run, and finally maybe some wind sprints or something like that.

If running slow is what gets you out the door, then more power to ya!

If you mean running a long distance at a slow pace, then yes. What you should do though, is each time you run, try and go a little faster each time, to get your stamina even higher.

slower and longer for weight loss, faster for stamina and cardio. however, going to fast (can be defined as going so fast that you cannot speak because you are breathing too hard) is never good.
