I have been tanning frequently this past month or two and have tanned in the past, and noticed a new mole in the middle of my back today. It's a reddish color and I am curious if this means cancer. Thanks!!

I work for a Mohs surgeon (removes skin cancer) and I know that a regular skin check by a dermatologist is always a good thing. Since you said that the spot is red, it would be a good idea for you see one. The dermatologist would probably take a biopsy (small piece) of the site and send it to a pathologist for testing, and then would probably tell you to stop tanning!

No random moles do no longer propose pores and dermis optimal cancers. I particularly have have a random mole have been given rid of simply by fact the cells weren't generic, to boot the undeniable actuality that it wasn't linked with optimal cancers of any kind. some moles would be linked with optimal cancers, yet that would not propose each mole is linked with optimal cancers. For you 2d question approximately if its available for a gentle skinned black individual to get pores and dermis optimal cancers, questioning gentle skinned blacked human beings could no longer get optimal cancers is incredibly ridiculous. everybody can get pores and dermis optimal cancers no keep in mind what pores and dermis coloration they have, that's completely greater advantageous common for gentle skinned human beings to get pores and dermis optimal cancers, simply by lots much less pigment of their pores and dermis. So confident, that's obtainable for a gentle skinned black individual to get optimal cancers.

Not particularly, have it checked and have your doctor do the clear plastic record, where he puts the clear plastic on the mole and traces it, so when you go back in a few months he can clearly see if it has grown. It's how i have mine checked.

AND stay out of the sun!!!

It doesn't mean cancer just because it showed up, but I would get it checked just in case. And if it gets even darker that's a sign of cancer.. So, just get it checked out or even removed so you don't have to worry about it.

New and red don't necessarily mean cancer but you should be evaluated by a dermatologist yearly anyway for skin cancer let this year be your first year. Good luck.
