My Dad has been on anti-statin(sp?) medications, Crestor being one of them, and 2 others, and had bad reactions, MUSCLE WEAKNESS, FATIQUE, TIRED, LEGS GIVING OUT ON HIM. He was a very active healthy man until he took these cholesterol lowering drugs, and now he is very ill. My nieghbor has had the same problems, and the muscles haven't come back. My dad and my nieghbor were very active people and now have no energy, their muscles hurt, legs give out, and they are tired all the time, and feel aweful. Do you know of anyone who has had these problems from these medicines and what was done to help them? My Parent has been off these cholesterol lowering drugs for 2 years, and has not gotten his strength back. he used to jog, walk faster than I could keep up with him, and now he cannot even take the dog for a walk. What hope is their out there for our loved ones who have taken these medications? What treatment worked for people you know. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY. thank you.

So, if you've seen all my other questions, you know I was a bit concerned about a previous root canal done in October. No throbbing, no senstivity really to cold or hot, but sensitivity to bite and when it's really cold, maybe a little discomfort, the gum is still a little swolen and sometimes it feels like the temporary crown is sticking out further than on other days. Anyhow, I am going on the 30th of January (sometime roun there). She's going to check me out. Is there a dentist or professional that can advise me of what to ask her to do? I had a tumor 2x2.5x3cm in my thryoid.. total removal of thyroid has been done two weeks ago. It was diagnosed as hurthle cell variant of papillary cancer. What is the usual protocol in australia for this? Has anyone had cancer in their thyroid and NOT had RAI??

I do not know how to deal with verbal abuse from an adult parent. This is my mother and she treats everyone else normaly as far as I can see. If I confront her she starts yelling at me very loudly. She is older and has done this all my life and it is getting worse. I have three brothers (I'm the only girl) who she treats with respect, so I'm puzzled. I have struggled with depression most of my life, I believe it's because of how I am treated by her. I'm in therapy and she is constantly yelling at me to stop going....I think because I have gotten a bit stronger. I get suicidal at times. My husband does not help me with this at all. Any suggestions? I don't want to be abusive back!!

why does some people have bad breath even thought they brush daily? I work with someone whose breath smells like the bottom of a trash can or toilet bowl. it's disturbing and I've tried to drop hints, but i don't think they get it. It's grossing alot of people out on the job. i mean their breath literally lights up the room when they come in. it's disgusting, hot, and foul beyond comprehension. help!

i have very sensitive skin. ive done proactiv, numberous antibiotics and topicals, retin a micro, birth control pills, and even a costly IPL laser. the only thing that seems to work for my skin is the IPL laser but its $250 a month and i have body acne which i cannot seem to get rid of. i want to have clear skin all over but i cant seem to get it (i have a very healthy diet too). i heard accutane is bad and stuff but im getting desperate. i really want clear skin and that is the only resort i have left. ive been to three of the top derms in my state and all have been unable to give me clear skin. what do you guys think i should do?

why are some toenails brown? i have a friend who's toenails grow brown and i've never underdstood it. i mean they are literally bown and she's tried everything, but nothing works. I hate seeing her feet in sandals in the summer, it makes me ill, but i don't want to say anything cause she's sensitive, but i wonder what causes this condition.
