The burning is caused by stomach acid and can lead to GERDS. Gastric Esophageal Reflux Disease. Go to Walmart or a drug store and get Prilosec OTC (over the counter). It's about $20 a month. It will solve the problem and heal any ulcers you may have in the GI tract.
If Prilosec doesn't stop it, see your doctor ASAP. You may have something more serious.

You're going to have to be more precise then that! But off the bat, it sounds possibly like an acid problem? Have you taken anything for it? Gotten it checked out? If you give more info, also please say where it burns, 'how' it burns (describe it as best as possible), and on a scale of 0-10 of pain where it stands!

depends on your age and duration of symptoms. Most of the time its hyper acidity or reflux of food. It generally happens when u lie down on bed immediately after eating bulky meal. Gall bladder stones can have burning epigastrium ( burning stomach as u have said) .Occasionally it turn ugly in the form of cancerous growth if duration of your symptoms are long. Go consult your doctor and get proper investigations.

If it feels better after you eat it can be a peptic ulcer. If it doesn't, it could be bacterial. Some bacteria can get in your stomach and cause an ulcer that can only be cured with antibiotics. You really should go to the doc.
