I have had a sore throat for 5 weeks along with an overall sick feeling. I don't want to do anything but lay down. I aso have other cold type symptoms-dull headache, stuffy head, mild cough, etc. I have seen 2 Dr's that say I have allergies and 1 that says I have a cold. I know what both are like and this is not it.For the last 2 years I have had the same symptoms about twice a month, but only for 2-7 days. Now I just can't shake it. My body feels weak and I just keep getting worse.Does anyone know what else could be wrong with me? I am only 25 years old, I eat healthy, and when I am not sick I exercise. I have an appt in December with an ear/nose/throat Dr, but if I am still sick I'll go nuts. I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

This habit of mine isn't so bad because it cured my other bad habits like chewing my nails and forgetting to brush my teeth but lately its all I think about. I'm afraid of losing control when this habit becomes an obssession.

I know buddhist monks get only like 5-6 hours of sleep a night, I'm used to getting 8-9, but I've been thinking what I could do with those extra hours, I just got 5.5 and I'm pretty tired, but will my body start to adjust. I don't think we really need 8 hours of sleep do we?

I am having my elbow manipulated under anaesthetic to try and improve movement after a radial head replacement. How much pain should I expect after and how long before it eases off? Has anyone had this done?

I have inflammation and pain in my rotator cuff, going back years. Now that I'm actively weight training again, it's really bothering me and affecting my quality of life. Before restarting weight training, the pain was merely a minor nuisance, something I could easily live with. I had it looked at, and the doctors basically said I could come in and get steroid injections every couple of months to manage the pain, or I could have rotator cuff surgery. I've talked to a few folks that have had the surgery, and NONE of them have anything good to say about it. They said the post-operative pain was bad, and it took several months or longer to heal. What do you think?

Childhoods are ruined by bullying older siblings where parents refuse to discipline the bully. When bullying happens in the home there's no escape and health implications are enormous. So why don't people talk about sibling bullying or pass it off as rivalry instead of facing up to the reality that many siblings bully on a daily basis?

My husband is very sick from food poisoning and wants to know if there is anything he can do to stop vomiting or diarrhea, or at least lessen it somewhat. Also, what can he try to drink that won't upset his stomach to help him with fluid loss? Also, is it possible to have food poisoning without a fever? Thanks!

I get pains just to the left centre of my chest but it goes after a few minutes. I may not get another one for a few weeks and it has been happening over the last 3 months.
