I am looking for some information on copd.I need to know what are the last stages are before death.?

I would prefer some real good advice as what to expect. I hope this gets answers from a professional pumololigist,who knows what I need to know about chronic copd.

Weight Scales?

I am kinda confused and I went to the hospital the other day and I Iweighed myself and I was shocked it said I weighed 20 pounds more than what I thought I weighed and then I go home and weigh myself and it says that I weigh 20 pounds less I have been weighing myself on the same scale and it still has the same thing but I kinda panicked whenever I went to the doctors WHICH one do I need to rely on ????thanks

worried i have bladder cancer?

Hey I posted before. I've been having considerable pain in my bladder and microscopic blood in my urine. I did an ultrasound and a urine cytology and they both came back negative but are these tests accurate at all in detecting bladder cancer? I'm booked for a Ct scan as well, but it's not for a few weeks. Does bladder cancer present with microscopic blood, pain that comes and goes, foul smelling and cloudy urine, urgency and nausea? thanks

Ever since I quit Paxil, I feel ill.?

I quit Paxil over a year ago because after 6 years on it, I was getting some scary side-effects. But now I find I have really horrible stomach issues. The slightest anxiety causes me to run to the bathroom. I'm working hard to overcome the anxiety and nerves without drugs. I also learned that serotonin has a big effect on the colon, so my issue makes sense. Any opinions? Experiences?

Is it impossible for me to get energy from sleep if I have Restless Leg Syndrome?

A couple of months ago, I was diagnosed with having Hypersomnia and am currently taking 350mg of Provigil, which has worked exceptionally well to keep me awake during class, work, etc. . After further reading of hypersomnia, I had realized Restless Leg Syndrome was the cause. Ever since I was about six, I've had the symptoms of RLS: tingling feeling, urge to move, only goes away when moving or concentrating on something else like video games. The thing is, it occurs to almost ALL of my muscles not just legs or arms, but my neck, fingers, shoulder, calves, etc. I wake up in the morning just the same way I went to sleep. I feel like I get no energy at all from sleep. What am I supposed to do?? I also haven't had the time to check in with my neurologist lately, but plan to do so soon for asking about RLS. What can I do sleep-wise to help me? Also dietary?

pls help me and answer my question?

my bf sometimes has headaches. he says he does not hear well and after 3 to 5 hours it goes away. he says the doctor told him to consume less beer, and he also told him that he can rest in a room with or without lights on. he says it is not a migraine, and the doctor told him it goes from his nose to his head and ears. what could this be? i insisted on him to tell me what he head but i got no answer.

Why does it always seem the happier you are...........?

the more those really unhappy people try to pull you down. I swear they are out there on the hunt for happy people, just so they can rain on their parade........and some are really good at it. It just happened to me today. So what would be the best way to blow these people off, beside a little squirt of pepper spray in the face. I mean, come on.....these people should be quarentined so they can all stand in the rain together. How should I handle these people??? I was just encountered by one and she really brought me down :(

is it possible for oral pain medication to be stopped or destroyed before reaching the brain?

My brother has been given pretty much everything for the pain in his legs, Neurontin 600mg, hydrocodone 10/325, ect and absolutely no pain relief, not even the slightest. We did find out he has lymphedema, 2nd degree, also cellulitis, and he is being treated with the manual lymph drainage and wrappings, which seems to be helping with the leg swelling, but thus far, after 3 treatments still has not done anything for the pain. Is it possible that the pain medications get to a certain point and are destroyed before reaching that part of the body where it sends signals to the brain that its not feeling pain....the signals to the brain that its feeling an 8 or more on the pain scale is not blocked at all, pain is a constant 24/7., pain pills do not block the signals. Does anyone know what could cause this? and would pain patches put right on the legs or pain shots work? Thank You, Marti
