Hey I posted before. I've been having considerable pain in my bladder and microscopic blood in my urine. I did an ultrasound and a urine cytology and they both came back negative but are these tests accurate at all in detecting bladder cancer? I'm booked for a Ct scan as well, but it's not for a few weeks. Does bladder cancer present with microscopic blood, pain that comes and goes, foul smelling and cloudy urine, urgency and nausea? thanks

To be honest, that sounds more like a UTI.

Bladder ca. usually presents with no pain and gross haematuria (you can see the blood in the urine), I wouldn't be unduly concerned if I were you.

lol Do no longer fear obviously you wouldn't have any bladder melanoma. The soreness you've got isn't normal of melanoma. Cancer won't produce such throbbing acute soreness. Cancer will handiest produce soreness while nerves and different matters are stretched or that it has mass outcome (press upon any other organ). Also you might have felt moderate pains years in the past It simply does no longer seem suddenly. Moreover you're nonetheless younger median age for bladder melanoma is sixty five. Lastly I bladder melanoma MAY have difficult subject slightly under umbilicus. Well what do you've got then? Stones is much more likely however can I have extra element. Infection could also be dominated out as you are saying there was once not anything discovered on your blood experiment and I might say you wouldn't have any chills & rigors - a symptom of urinary tract illness. More element wanted. It is seen that the bleeding might be from the kidney or the urinary tract or the bladder. How does it come approximately? good could also be the so referred to as stones. It blocks the tract thus provide you the off and on soreness because the contraction tract (ureter or bladder or kidney) pushes urine in opposition to a closed pipe thus the throbbing which comes with each contraction. Note additionally that after soreness is long past you could consider that there was once not anything incorrect in any respect. The soreness entirely is going away. But it recurs. Usually soreness is felt on both part of the stomach or under the umbilicus. While the urine pushes in opposition to the closed tractit can purpose harm to the subject wherein it's impacted thus inflicting bleeding.... good it can be no longer it. Need extra main points - Any chills & rigors - When does the bleeding come, with the soreness or everytime - Estimate or describe the volume bled. - Any difficulty with passing, do you need to stress .. or such - any trauma - whatever bizarre in any respect?

Ask your doctor to book a Cystoscopy test. Just a few months ago I was dealing with the same issues you descibe. At that time I did not even know that there is such a thing as bladder cancer, I was always focused on other cancers. A cystoscopy test (all of 3 minutes) detected a bladder cancer which has been removed meanwhile and I am waiting the pathology report.
If I were you I would insist on a cystoscopy. In my case a CT scan missed it and Ultrasound missed it as well.

You obviously have something wrong with you but don't jump to conclusions until you see your doctor.

The three most common symptoms are blood in urine, pain or burning doing urinarion, and change in bladder habits (how often you use the bathroom). These symptoms are common and just because you have these symptons doesn't neccessarily mean you have cancer.

Before you do anything else, I recommend you see a doctor and talk to him about it. It may or may or may not be bladder cancer. You might have something else.

Good luck! :)

Your symptoms sound more like a urinary tract infection than bladder cancer. However, the "gold standard" for determining bladder cancer is a cystoscope. None of the other tests you mention is nearly as accurate. Ask your urologist for a cystoscope ASAP!

As far as know these tests are quite reliable. That they came back negative is sure enough a good sign. Has kidney stones been rules out or problems with your uterus. Something is causing this. I hope they can solve your problem soon. Darn hard onthe nerves this wait & see thing. Fortunately the news has been good so far. Please let us know how you make out. Good Luck.
