You can take it up to 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex for it to be effective, but the sooner you take it the more effective it will be!

72 hours, however at 72 hours it's only 58% effective. The sooner you take it, the more effective it is.

An alternative, is having a copper coil inserted, which can be done up to 5 days after unprotected sex or up to day 19 of the menstrual cycle whenever the unprotected sex was. So theoretically, even if you had sex on day 7 of your cycle, if you had a copper coil inserted before day 19, it should be effective in preventing pregnancy.

Yes 72 hours (3days) but much more effective if taken sooner. Greatly reduced protection (but better than none) at 72 hours.

There are other methods that can be used after 72 hours I think. I think an IUD can be fitted up to 7 days later - best to check with dr.

That would depend what time you had sex. Was it in the morning on the previous day of the day that you want to take the 'morning after' pill???
