My mum had her last 5 teeth out on friday(now its thursday) and a plate put in straight afterwards. She was NOT x-rayed first. The teeth bled afterwards for over half an hour. One tooth hole has become massively infected, she has had pus coming out of her nose and mouth, and had hardly slept. her mouth and threoat are infected. The pus has slowed, but now her jaw is numb.
The dentist has said shes just got a cold, the doctor had given her antibiotics for an infection. Should the dentist have xrayed her first? He DID x-ray my teeth, and told me Ive got to have 5 out too. Is he just a sadist? Is he ageist, he is trying to fob my mum of with this 'cold' theory. We are worried she might get a worse infection or something. Serious answers a great help thanks.

They are not permanent but appear during the change of season. What deficieny or imbalance could be the cause? Injury to the nail and fungal infection can be ruled out.

My son (6yr) has a lazy eye -his left eye ball is not perfectly round, so he can't see clearly. Therefore he does not use his left eye often. (Other aspects of his left eye is all right -such as focus) It started at -3.75 and now it has been improved to -2.5 after wearing glasses. If the further improvement is not obvious he will have to wear a patch. His ophathamologist told me that he will have a perfect vision with glasses on and he probably will need to wear his glasses at least until he is ten. After that we can elect to have surgery to get it corrected or continue to wear glasses.
I'd like to know if there is any way that can help my son to get his vision corrected, ie., he gets a perfect (20/20) or near perfect vision without glasses?
Thank you.

Here's the jist: I've gotten my other 4 tattoos from the same guy. Always uses sterile equipment. Well, a couple days ago I had another piece of work done, this one from just below my armpit to just below my pantline. There is just a little bit of yellow-ish colouring to my skin on the top to the side and in the middle of the tattoo. I've looked online and I don't show any signs of infection -- redness, streaks, puss, doesn't hurt to touch (I work a factory job and went to work the same day with no problem), etc -- but judging from my other four, I can tell this is probably not normal (lol) ... any hints?

Because of an incident at the dentist the other day, I was left with a hole in my cheek and now there is a huge bump, which I think is swelling. The dentist did not give me any antibiotics or pain killers so I have tried Tylenol and Anbesol for the pain and iced it to bring down the swelling, but the pain is getting worse by the hour as is the swelling. I have a doctor's appt, but that is not for another 12 hours. Anyone have any ideas on how to help the swelling or pain?
