I have been overweight for a long time, about 5 or 6 years. Currently I am 15, male, and weigh 215 pounds. My BMI is 34.7, which puts me in the high risk category. I am scared ****. I have tried making better food choices in the past, but my father doesn't get it. He will purchase fruit when he goes shopping, but not enough other healthy things. He is an excellent cook, but only cooks stuff that will make me fatter. When I have asked him to cook healthy meals consistently, it only lasts a day. I don't have time to cook, I am in all advance classes, and I am in a band. I find it wierd that my doctor has not mentioned anything to me at all in any of my visits about my weight issue. I have brought it up, but it feels like it just gets pushed to the side. No I can not switch doctors. I don't have any friends, so I am very inactive, and also don't own a bike. I've tried walking, but I find it boring alone. I hate sports teams. Please help me get healthy and fit.
