I never have trouble breathing or anything but my lips sort of get outlined in maybe 1/8" of puffiness for an hour or so. Is this OK?

Wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor the next time you see her. Just to be on the safe side.

Some people are more sensitive to capsacin - the heat in peppers. I've heard of some using it to cause lip inflammation so they can forego collagen injections. Not to worry, won't hurt you.

It's a normal reaction. Peppers can be nasty. Sunday I got some juice from one in my eye. It burned like somebody put out their cigarette in it and took over an hour to stop burning.

it's okay, won't hurt you at all. if it bothers you, don't eat hot stuff! if you cook with or eat hot stuff and get it on your hands, make sure you wash them really well before you touch your eyes!

i get this sometimes with the really hot stuff. i just figured it is part of the wild ride!
