My parents dont know that im a vegetarian. I asked if i could be one and they said im too young. I have really strong feellings for animals and their rights. Theyve started to notice i havent been eating meat, and keep trying to get me to eat it. All i do is pretend to chew it (which KILLS ME) and then spit it out. What should i do?!!!!

I don't have my parents support and i still live in their house. i'll be off to college in another year and will be able to make my own meals. i've tried talking to my parents in everyway and they just will not have it. i'm lactose intolerant so any pure milk products i've already ousted from my diet. what are some easy vegan recipies with ingredients i can find in a normal grocery store?
I'm trying to eat 1-2 vegan meals per day for now and maybe if i can show my parents that i can handle it they'll understand. thank you so much!

Can I get some of those cards that says this:

I,(your signature), hereby identify myself as a supporter of animal rights and agree to live my life in accordance with all animal rights principles.(on other side of card)
So as not to violate my animal rights principles, I hereby request that in the event of an accident or illness, all medical treatments developed and tested on animals be withheld, including, but not limited to: blood transfusions, anesthesia, pain killers, antibiotics, insulin, vaccines, chemotherapy, CPR, coronary bipass surgery, reconstructive surgery, orthopedic surgery, etc

I need to pass these cards out

Now that recent studies have shown that cocoa can help to reduce hypertension and high blood pressure, would it be better to eat dark chocolate or pure cocoa powder? I got a few bars of 85% cocoa dark chocolate, but it contains 11g of saturated fat per serving! I only eat a square a day so that is 1/4 of the serving size, so I'm only taking in around 2.5g of sat fat from it, but then I'm not getting as much cocoa.

So I was thinking, what if I just bought some cocoa powder and took a tablespoon of that each day? I could mix it in a smoothie or something. Would that be better?

Is it possible for vegetarian parents to have meat-eating children? Just curious.

Okay,so I'm a 13 year old vegetarian and have been since January.YAY!!! Anyways.I don't eat beans, except like in spanish rice and stuff like that. But black beans and black eyed peas are gross to me.I'm kinda slow (not really) just cause I can't swallow pills, which means,I can't swallow vitamins. Now finally for the question, what are some ways that I can get enough protein in my diet since I'm SUCH a picky eater? My mom just thinks I should eat meat again, but I WON'T EVER eat meat again. Don't suggest nuts,I already know they have protein and I eat them.It gets nasty/boring after awhile.I was wondering if someone knew any recipies or different ways to get protein.

I am feeling better than ever on this new vegetarian diet. However, after I get off the seat, I notice the smell is worse than normal. Should I be concerned or do lots of greens have that type of effect?

I don't understand Vegans. I work at a pet store and for the 3rd time, a vegan asks me if there is a meat alternative cat or dog food. Today , I sold a kitten and I immediatly recommended her on what types of food she should feed the cat. She refused to buy any meat products. I asked my manager if I could take then kitten back, my manager told me just to let it go.

How could vegans support animals, and then torture cats and dogs by feeding them vegetarian foods?

I have been a vegetarian for almost a year. Not a long time. I am only 14 years old, and I don't know what to do. I mean I don't want to quit beeing a vegetarian, it is cool. My little brother shoves meat in my face, so I punch him. When ever I see meat i almost puck. All I eat for dinner is toast, rise snakes, or sometimes a sandwitch when my family has meat. I have lost a lot of weight this last year. Now I am under weight. What can I eat for dinner when my family is eating meat for dinner????? HELP!!!

i think meat is a 100% natural substance. it is way more natural than most food we eat, heck most fruits and vegetables are now genitically moddified and\or drenched with chemicals! how natural is that?!@?!@

so honestly, meat is natural, so why not eat it?

I have been finding meat no longer tastes good and that I am transitioning into a vegetarian diet. I know I need protein, but how to do I go about it?

And to make matters interesting, I'm a highly picky eater, so I won't eat eggs, fish, or beans, I'm also a terrible cook, and can burn water. I've been trying tofu with no luck what so ever.

What other foods are an option?

I was very excited to hear the term "vegaquarian" for the first time, because then I knew that there were others like me who didn't eat red meat or chicken but still ate seafood. I have never tried to impose my eating habits on others, in fact many of my friends didn't know I was "vegetarian" for years, as I never made a point about it.

Some vegos and some meat eaters get very vocal and aggressive about what they believe, so I just wondered what they (or you) think about vegaquarians?

i don't understand why it's anyones business what i chose not to eat.
why would my friends and family genuinely try hard to argue and bargain with me to eat meat. it doesn't affect them in anyway.

my brother even offered me $100 to eat a piece of meat! i think he was joking but still!

does it happen with anyone else? or do i just have a terrible support network

not even a question, perhaps a statement...

they all seem to believe they are raising a valid point by saying things like "well if jesus ate meat why don't you? are you better than jesus??"

and "it's not like just one person is really going to stop any animals dying. what's the point"

there's got to be thousands of them.

vegetarians kill more living things than meat eaters. 500 people can eat off 1 cow, but a powerhouse sandwich has over 300 dead things on it. so what are the ONLY 2 things you can eat without anything dying?? think biblical.
