you need protein to stay healthy, plus other nutrients. you won't stay healthy eating only fruits for that long. yes it is harmful, especially to your heart. if you don't eat enough protein, your body will start to consume muscle tissue and it can damage your heart, which is all muscle.

Well, humans can live off fruit alone. But we do live in a very polluted environment etc. We don't even have the same level of oxygen as people had before. But, human digestion is best suited to fruit. Humans can live on fruit alone. Sure, maybe some other things like nuts berries etc. too, but basically things that grow on trees etc.... Protein... fruit is full of protein, people don't have a clue what protein actually is it seems. But, if you've never done this before, your digestion might not be ready. If you already eat a mostly fruit diet, then no problem. You'll likely purge lots of gunk the first little while, but after that's all out, you'll be fine I think. I think that if I lived in the tropics, I'd be a fruititarian. Just do a search for fruititarian on google and see what's up. Doing it for a month is not very long anyway. Even if humans can't be fruititarians, you won't be able to kill yourself in a month. Make sure it's all organic though.

There should be no reason to feel hungry at all. Eat a wide variety of fruits throughout the day, spacing out the more acidic ones, such as oranges, grapefruits, etc. I personally think a month is too long, it could interfere with your blood sugar. Why not try a fruit fast for a week, then add some raw veggies in the second week, some lighty cooked veggies the third week and some natural whole grains the fourth week (like quinoa and millet) Try going vegetarian for a week or two first, so you dont shock your system. You will likely get many comments from uninformed meat eaters saying how you "NEED" meat, but the fact is you do not. Good luck on your quest-God will understand if you modify what you promised-just tell him about it first

I did it, it is possible but make sure to have always something with you e.g. dried fruit (if you can have that) or fruit leather. Also, eat bananas and avocado for calories, citrus fruits for vitamin c and don't think about eating too much. If you feel hungry, snack. You can do nothing wrong with eating fruit as much as you want, but you have to have a colorful and well balanced diet with at least 5 types of fruit every day to get your nutrients.
It is not harmful as long as you keep the diet balanced...

"The Raw Food Detox Diet" by Natalia Rose
BTW, I really love this lifestyle. Easy to do, good for you; I feel so energized! I don't do fruit all day though. I'm a Level 3 and I eat fruits during the day, vegetable juices in the afternoon, and eat a healthy meal in the evening. The pounds are just melting away.
Good luck. You can write me if you want.

First off, NEVER nutrition! You comfortably difference your "existence variety" in an effort to drop a few pounds and preserve it off. Dieting is continuously a certain comfort for failure due to the fact that you're no longer going to conitnuously do it, and its detrimental to do "any" variety of nutrition for a protracted interval of time! Now, this "fruit nutrition". it'll convey your sugar content material up, and in case your susceptible to diabetes, then you can also simply kick begin the method! Fruits dont have sufficient "bulk" and might bind you up ultimately, nor, will you get sufficient energy from them. They dont provide you all of the vitamins and minerals for a good balanced nutrition. If you REALLY desire to drop a few pounds, do the Pyramid nutrition! It offers you all of what you want, AND you'll continue to exist it ceaselessly so long as you desire! Its the one nutrition so that they can be a healthful culture difference and some thing that's healthful, and a certain option to drop a few pounds and preserve it off... I want you good.. Jesse

This is not a good idea. Your body needs protein and other nutrients not readily found in fruit...not to mention that fruit contains the purest forms of sugar known to man. Even if you are not diabetic, it can drastically effect your blood sugar and cause problems.
On the up side, fruit does contain a lot of water and that will clean out your system. If I might suggest, eat fruit throughout the day as snacks or replace only ONE meal per day with a lot of fruit. That way, you are still getting the best of both worlds.
Good luck!

just so you know that you are a vegan or vegetarian and you need vit B complex. You need to have proteins from the beans otherwise you will feel really very lethagic......... I do not think is a good idea you do that. Fruits is good for you but it need other sources of vit and minerals from other food to maintain health. Once you have one vit deficiency, the rest will follow....becareful......

I have done a fruit fast in the past, you won't regret it. Although you will need to bind your stool, try incorporating nuts and seeds, its a good clean out and nothing short of an internal detox. Good luck!!! :)

Ignore Jessica's reply. She's a spammer. Anyways.. if you're talking of eating only fruit for a month, then you're not being very smart. You need protein in your diet and that means some kind of meat or at least tofu. Without protein you're going to get tired. This is not the way to lose weight healthy.
