I didn't know this and when i found out i stopped consuming their products. Which is sad because i loved the way the juice tasted and i was even part of the POM club online. I'm not vegetarian/vegan, but i do hate cruelty to animals. POM no longer does animal testing, but to think that they considered it and followed through with it makes me not want to consume their products anymore. http://www.peta.org/feat-pom-victory.asp

an old rich guy says that he will give you money between one dollar and a million dollars. However, you will only have a chance to get each amount. If you ask for one dollar, your chance will be 100% of getting it. If you ask for a million dollars, your chance will be 0% of getting it. if you ask for 500,000, your chance will be 50%. So what amount do you ask for?

I'm floored by the number of people who misrepresent ethical veganism and vegetarianism as juvenile or overly-sentimental. I have a feeling that the morality of fruitarians - and their reasons for going fruitarian- are similarly misrepresented, so I'm curious: Why did you go fruitarian?

Thanks for all the answers, and if it matters, I'm a vegetarian transitioning to a totally vegan lifestyle.

I am a vegetarian. I have not eaten meat for almost 6 months. I am vegetarian for ethical reasons. I think its wrong to kill other animate, living objects just so we can eat their corpses.

I also work at Wendys. I mostly work the fryer (I fry Chicken Nuggets and French Fries). I also sometimes work grill, where I cook the raw hamburger to the junior and single patties. So, do you think I am a hypocrite?

I looked for a job not in fast food for months but couldn't find any jobs. Then I got this one.

If so, how did you convert. Did you just stop eating meat cold turkey one day ( no pun intended ) or did you slowly remove it from your diet until one day it was gone? Was it difficult to find stuff to eat when you had been used to eating meat at most meals? Why did you convert?

I am trying to cut out cow/sheep/goat milk cheese from my diet-the soy cheeses I've tried range from terrible to mediocre (I've only tried 3 flavors of 2 brands). I really love cheese-can anybody tell me one that's good?

I have been a vegetarian for 7 months now, and although I prefer this lifestyle I will not have vegetarian options during the summer (I'm spending 6 weeks in a rural village in Ethiopia and cannot be picky about what I eat). I have had a couple of friends who got sick from eating meat after having been vegetarian for a while, and I'd like to avoid that. When should I start eating meat, how often should I eat it per week, and which types are not as heavy?

ok, not all of us or hardly any of us are "really skinny, pale, and have jello for mucsles"

Lots of people actually FACTUALLY take care of them selves, i take vitaims everyday to replace meat. not only am i getting tons of protien but a lot of other healthy vitaims also. and don't be all like "stop ebing fake and eat meat its what its for" well not really, pople grow cows just to kill them, they never experience reaql life. even if they are just a cow or a pig. they have to cut down trees to fuel machines, dump the guts into the water and irrigation. its horrible. did you know that in that "yummy" steak you are eating there is pus filled sores and poop in it from being given hormones to grow faster so the cannot walk sometimes!

SO DON'T GENERALIZE AND PLEASE DON'T SAY "EAT MEAT"

thats who we are and who'll we'll be so whatever

just voicing MY OPINION!

p.s i super suck at spelling since i am going really fast!

SORRY!

Wow, I couldn't believe it!! I just ate some Boca Chik'n Nuggets and it tasted and had the same texture as the real thing!!! A week ago, I had some Vegan Meatballs, they were extremely nasty. I also had Morning star soy burger, that was ok at best. Any others that are good?

I am talking about the Vegetarian Meat made of soyabean and ready to cook (fry or steam).
Is it good for health? Does it have lot of saturated carbohydrates? And most important, as sometimes it tastes so simliar to the real meat, is it purely vegetarian or the makers have a secret ingredient which actually brings out the original flavour of meat in the product?

Most chinese who follow buddhism must be very familiar with what I am talking about.

Need some englightenment on this one..Thanks to all in advance, who contribute their answers!

I a vegetarian newbie and I have been trying to incorporate more greeens in my diet. After a BM the other day, I kind of poked around in it and I noticed some almonds that were still in pretty good shape. Is it normal for almonds to not digest? Can I do anything to help my body break them down?

I'm thinking about becoming a vegetarian. So that means no meat. What are some alternatives that are just as enjoyable? No salad or stuff like that, I'm not doing it for health reasons.(I'm doing it because of mistreatment of animals and all that stuff)
