I really enjoy drinking milk - I've grown to like it for the taste, the fullness, and the protein, calcium and vitamins it contains. However, I am aware that there are some sources pointing out that Cow's milk may not be so good for you.

If anyone could clear this up for me, that would be great. I drink about a gallon a week of regular 1% milk.

I'm a vegetarian but... I think it would be disturbing to like go on a date with your boyfriend and you eat a nice vegetarian salad while having your boyfriend sit across from you gobbling down a steak.

I do understand sometimes your boyfriend or girlfriend decides to listen to your opinions and sometimes goes on your side but is it wrong to only date vegetarians if you're vegetarian?

I'm vegetarian because of the animals and my health.

But, seriously, can you picture yourself getting enganged and coming home to a fridge filled with dead animals? When you'd much rather come home to a fridge filled with veggies and fruits and meat subtitutions.

What is all the hype about being a vegetarian or a vegan? PETA is only trying to open the public's eye about what they are putting into their mouth. Stop attacking and start being informed.

And what if you have to pay your mortgage and car note and don't have a college degree yet? As soon as possible I am going to go back to school so that I can be a teacher of something real. Am I exploiting the system in which I don't believe?

The animals are already dead when you buy them in a supermarket, so is not eating them really going to change anything? I don't mean to offend anyone, and, in fact a vegetarian lifestyle can be more healthy in some ways, but if your only reason for not eating meat is a moral reason, then you need to seriously think about this. You don't kill the animal if you just eat it.

By the way, I'm the sort of person that you would probably think of as a monster. I love to hunt, and I've killed several deer, turkeys, and one black bear. It's fun, the meat is tasty, and atleast in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with it if you don't waste the meat and if you kill the animal humanely. In nature, animals kill other animals all the time, and human beings are, to some extent, animals, so it is just natural for humans to hunt and kill other animals.

Do people who want the Japanese Government condemned for allowing the slaughter of dolphins also condemn the US Government for allowing the slaughter of chickens, pigs and cows?

Why do they single out KFC for the slaughter of chickens but ignore all other chicken slaughterhouses?

Are they all 2007 versions of Brigit Bardot, condeming the seal hunt wearing while wearing a mink coat?

firstly, all you meat eaters claim that vegans and vegetarians are all preachers and try to push their beliefs onto you and make you feel bad for your choices. let me say that i am yet to come across a single vego who acts like that. they may voice an opinion when asked but it's rare to find someone that would push you to stop eating meat. i am NOT saying they don't exist but don't generalise and say all vego's are preachers. it's not fair and not accurate. they are the minority.

secondly, i think it's fair to say that you meat eaters are trying to push your beliefs onto us vego's so much more than 'we' do to you. i recently asked a question if vegetarians and vegans still get pressured by family and friends to eat meat and 100% of the answers i got said yes. some answers even mentioned how people were literally forcing meat into their mouths. thats sickening and shows how little respect they receive. Put yourself in their position. what if people were constantly disrespecting you and shoving their beliefs literally down your throat against your will. it’s atrocious.

Suppose your ship is sinking. You have on board the following:

1. A 150 pound pig;
2. 150 pounds of your favorite drink;
3. A 150 pound bad of fully prepared corn;
4. A 100 pound charcoal grill, including everything you need for a feast.

Assume you weigh 150 pounds, and the load limit of your life raft is 570 pounds. Which of the above would you leave behind to go down with the ship? Do you have any other solutions?

1)Why non vegetarian food ?
2)How one can satiate his / her hunger by eating an animal which had undergone pain (especially Halal) while getting killed ?
3)What about animal rights ?

Yahoo, once again, do veggies a dis-service.

I notice they have chosen to highlight a veggie question about protien and the "best answer" says we need to all eat powered protien from health food shops

ARRRH

whats wrong with these people.

If they don't know about veggie diets, why comment on them. If Yahoo know nothing of the topic, why choose it as an example of a good question/answer.

I'm off to the pub now, i'm done with my computer today

cheers !

I eat chicken broth to keep the chicken enzyme in me because ive read the enyzme protease helps digest meat but it might be a different enzyme to digest fish and red meat. I was thinking about adding fish to my diet and I was wondering if that would make me sick. its been about six months since I ate fish. I dont want to become sick. anyone else experiment with this?
