Do you all eat breakfast? If so, what do you eat. When and what do you normally eat for lunch and dinner? Just curious.

my family has recently gone vegetarian and now we're looking into all the alternatives. one thing we'll miss is having turkey during the holidays (read: thanksgiving).
is there any substitute out there? hopefully something that can be passed off as regular turkey to our meat-eating relatives?
any suggestions would be awesome, thanks

Our family has 8 people - many are children. I am trying to 'slowly' convert them over to more meatless recipes and organic foods, but my smallest ones are SOOO picky. I need more kid-approved recipes and all of the ones I've seen online contain tons of beans, zucchini, eggplant and the such - my 6 year old and 3 year old won't have a thing to do with those! HELP!

I can't figure it out..I bought it thinking it was a sort of polish sausage or garlic knocker, but when I tried to cut it into smaller pieces to fit into the skillet, it all sort of mushed out of the "skin" (sort of looked like poo). when I tasted it, it tasted like veggie chili with TVP granules? Why would anyone put chili in a sausage link that is too long to fit on a bun or a skillet without cutting in half?Made me lose my appetite for rest of the day...

Hello.
I'm a fifteen and I've been a vegetarian for six months now.
I'm afraid I don't get the daily amount of protein I should.

Does anybody know any good fake meat brands and items?
I've had Original Boca Burgers--they were okay.
Any other REALLY good fake meats?

I've heard Melissa brand fake meats are good.

I'm going to be cooking for an event this summer and would like to offer some kind of vegetarian equivalent to the hot dog/hamburger meals. There are going to be lots of people at this event so any quick, easy to make suggestions would be helpful.

I'm making a meal for someone who doesn't eat red meat. The recipe(s) call for ground beef. What is a good substitute I could use?

Hello, I am going to a ceramic workshop tomorrow and I signed up to bring a main course item. I am a vegetarian; so, I would like to bring somthing that is vegetarian but sutable for a group of none vegetarians (and assuming that there are no vegans though it can be vegan).
I would like it to realitively quick or will not have too much of a negative effect if it is stored in the frige over night (I have to be at school by 8:00 a.m.)
And ummm I have not cooked in a while and not that much before... So, if at all possible not to easy to mess up.

Thank you all in advance.

I mean, almost all bread has milk or butter in it. What if they eat something then find out later that there's animal products in it--do they freak out? Make themselves barf? Do they eat jell-o? Or ice cream? or yogurt?

I'm just curious....

I could really use some recipies, that use tofu/soy since i'm not getting enough protein. I have been a vegetarian for over a year now, but i've been eating alot of Boca and Morning Star products. I really would like to make a wrap, somthing similar to Applebees Oriental Chicken Wrap, since I used to enjoy that. I don't have any fancy stores around me, to get the hard to find ingredients. All I have is Cub Foods and a Rainbow Fresh. Anyone have some recipies for me?

I was absolutely shocked when I read the documented information on this website. http://www.biblelife.org/vegetarian-deficiencies.htm

This website is proof that a vegetarian/vegan diet is not healthy. I strongly encourage the readers of Yahoo! Answers to eat a well balanced diet that consists of meat and dairy.

Not a vegetarian diet, but a regular healthy diet.

Some argue that animals only have the rights
that humans give them.

Fellow animal rights advocates, where do you
believe they come from? I'm really looking
forward to hearing answers from Matt H.,
Lyllian, Max Marie, V&P, Greenhouse and
Psychocola.

Again, anti-vegites, I dare you to refrain from
answering and show some restraint and
decorum.

My friend and i both want to become vegetarians because of the animals. We feel really bad for them. So we were wondering if it was wrong to eat the meat flavored ramen like beef and chicken or do we switch to the orientale. We are not doing this to become healthier or anything just for the animals so is t wrong to eat them or is it not being a true vegetarian.

I know this is a pointless question that will draw the meat eaters who insist we need meat. I don't mind, I am in the mood for a laugh. What my question is, is why do you think vegetarians are emaciated, pale, anorexic hippies? I get plenty of quality whole protein from grains and beans, and vegetables. I get all of the necessary vitamins I need (tested with blood work) My body feels stronger and healther, and my digestive issues and other health ailments have improved dramatically since I gave up meat and poultry. I don't care if you eat meat...eat what you want...but quit making stupid judgements about vegetarians, when you simply do not have a clue about it. I can tell you the nutritional value, calories, sodium content, vitamin content, etc of every food I eat. Unless you can say the same, then why not just go grill your tasty animal and leave us veggies alone?
