I know it sounds trite, but really do listen to the suggestion to use veggie burgers and hot dogs. Lightlife makes vegan burgers and hot dogs. Also try to provide some vegan breads and vegan mayo substitutes like Nasoya. This advantage to using the vegan products is that you'll have foods available for any vegetarian and also include folks that are allergic to dairy and egg! If you aren't familiar with vegan requirements feel free to email me or edit your question and I'll go into more detail. You should also consider having a separate grill for those foods since cross-contamination is a major issue for us and folks with allergies!!
I may be making this sound like a bigger pain in the A__ than you want to deal with but it's worth it to see people happily eating foods that allow them to fit in! I've done this kind of thing before at company picnics and it's interesting to see how many non-veggie people come over to the veggie side to get lower fat healthy foods.

I love portobello mushrooms on the grill -- they're great. They can be used as a burger replacement as they are very meaty [get them wholesale if you can]. Other types of mushrooms are good too, such as oyster mushrooms.
Thick slices of onion are great; perhaps brushed with olive oil.
We're vegan and in the summer we had BBQs in the backyard and the grill was full of different stuff -- just use your imagination.
If you are looking tp spend a couple hundred dollars on veggie burgers and dogs etc., check out the natural foods wholesalers for restaurant vegetarian burgers, hotdogs, etc. They are cheaper since they don't have the retail packageing, and often are in larger jumbo sized etc. not found in the stores. Just contact a compay such as Yves and they'll tell you the nearest wholesaler to you (which will also have all the other products from other companies you see in the stores too).
Good idea if there is meat too to keep on a seperate grill with seperate utencils from the veggie stuff.
If you are not a business, many wholesalers do not like to sell to the public, so it might be useful to either pretend or use a friend's business name etc. I've found that some wholesale businesses are very uptight this way, but only the born and bred N. Americans. If they are from another Country, it's much easier I've found; all they want is money, and they don't care who it's from, I like that.

Grilled portobello mushroom burgers or Morningstar farms grillers or chick patties on rolls. You can provide all the fixings for these just like a regular hamburger. You can make these vegetarian burgers very gourmet if you want to with onion, fancy dressing, cheeses, sliced tomato, etc. The grillers and portobello mushrooms would work very well right on the grill. If you buy the Morninstar farms grillers get the original and not the "prime". Morninstar has the best tasting veggie burgers. Also, very good are the Amy's burgers and the "Garden Burger" brand. I find Boca not to be very good.
Or, you could grill veggies and do wraps. Grilled veggies are awesome such as red pepper, mushrooms, zucchini, carrot.

Man, Beebs, I love your mushroom dog idea. That sounds great! Who would give you thumbs down for that? Yum Yum.
Bart, the benefit of using portobello over prepackaged dogs and fake meat burgers is that there is less worry about picking up the wrong item. You'll notice your guests eyeballing plates like you're trying to poison them. Veggies are worried about getting meat. Meat eaters seem to think veggie dogs are toxic.
LOL!
A mushroom is so very obviously a mushroom.
Also, do use a separate grill for them.
I like to marinate my shrooms first. Usually with Soy Vey Teriyaki sauce. Their Island Pineapple is the BOMB too.
They top of great with grilled onion. Just slice it and keep the slices whole. They shrivel up to nothing. Avocado goes very well on a portobello burger.
Someone else mentioned grilled tofu. Buy extra firm. Marinate that too. Depending on how fat you slice them, you can get two or three "patties" of tofu out of each package. Soy Vey Wasabiyaki is a great marinade for grilled Fu.
Like the shroom, Fu is easy to spot. No confusion.
Also grilled veggies. Thick slices of eggplant. Drizzle with lime and chili powder before you grill. Have extra chili powder and lime on the table as condiments. Use cilantro instead of lettuce. Gosh that's a summer favorite for me. Goes great with beer.
Layers of grilled zucchini and summer squash. You'll find the meat eaters swip all the grilled veggies to top off their burgers with though.
Miso Mayo goes great on veggie burgers too. Comes in 3 flavors. Original, garlic/dill and red pepper.
Good luck! Save some for ME!

I make burgers with portabello mushrooms as the patty, and just top it like any other patty. Great with cheese too. For the hot dog option, there are vegetarian options, or you can make a "dog" by rolling up minced mushroom, onion, celery, seasonings, into a log and grilling it. Again, it can be topped with the typical stuff. Perhaps a big pot of vegetarian chili would be pleasing for everyone, with lots of cornbread
