I am highly allergic to soy, and have had to overcome many challenges to stay vegetarian. I finally have a good handle on it, but it was hard, as most vegetarians rely on soy based meat subsitutes. I am also allergic to wheat, eggs, dairy, tomato and avacado, so that complicates a vegetarian diet even more. I have been reading lately that the rise in food allergies is due to the practice of genetically modifying foods, causing cross reactions in people with allergies. 90 percent of the soy in the US is genetically modified, with everything from wheat and corn, to pesticides and scorpion venom (to make crops resistant to pests) I am curious how many other have problems with this

What is your favorite assinine theory from meat eaters?

Mine would have to be that we are "designed" to eat meat and have carnivorous teeth. We actually have only two incisor teeth, for spliting the flesh of vegetables and fruits, and the rest are flat teeth like all vegetarian animals. If we were "designed" to eat meat, we would have the capacity to hunt, catch, and kill it, and eat it in its raw form with a mouthful of clawlike teeth, like other predators. Whats your favorite, and how do you respond to it?

If you are vegan for the sake of the environment or animals, I have a question for you. If you lived on a farm and owned a chicken, and you took good care of it and fed it nicely, would you still be against eating eggs, if you collected the eggs from your chicken?

I read on a vegan website that many vegans refuse to have dairy or eggs because of the terrible conditions in the modern industries. But out of curiosity, would you still be vegan if you could collect your own chicken eggs? I can understand why you wouldnt milk a cow (it might hurt the cow) but it doesn't hurt the chicken to collect the eggs it lays, and if you don't have a rooster, the eggs will never contain chicks anyway. So, vegans, what do you say?

it is wrong to forbid that which is not forbidden. And yes, you guessed it, I'm rallying a campaign against vegetarians.

I'm fairly new to the world of not eating meat. People keep asking if I'm a Vegetarian or Vegan. I really don't know what to classify myself. I don't eat meat. I also don't eat veggies. I do eat Soy products and products that include eggs and cheese. Pretty much all dairy products. Also fruit. I try to stick to organic foods. Anyways, what am I.

So I was thinking about becoming a vegetarian, after watching the documentary Kentucky Fried Cruelty and some other things on Tv and peta.com. I have come to realize how bad people treat animals and its not exactly all right to always eat them but I do love meat. So how could I get where I can stop eating meat and be pro-animals?

Later that night, in my drunken state, I opened the fridge and discovered the leftovers. Then I preceded to take a bite of chicken. Now I feel terrible about it eating it. I didn't enjoy it and have no clue why I did it. Has this type of thing happend to anyone else?????
