What is your favorite assinine theory from meat eaters?

Mine would have to be that we are "designed" to eat meat and have carnivorous teeth. We actually have only two incisor teeth, for spliting the flesh of vegetables and fruits, and the rest are flat teeth like all vegetarian animals. If we were "designed" to eat meat, we would have the capacity to hunt, catch, and kill it, and eat it in its raw form with a mouthful of clawlike teeth, like other predators. Whats your favorite, and how do you respond to it?

One of my favorite idiotic theories has been put forth by an acquaintance of mine, One Kaayla Daniel who shills for the meat industry. She like to claim that scorpion genes have been added to commonly available soy beans!

Another idiotic thing I see a lot of is that Piscivores are vegetarian! This is *truly* an asinine statement since vegetarians don't eat any kind of animal!! I've been researching the etymology of the offensive term used by fish-eaters and it appears to have been created by the Beef Council around 1990 as part of a marketing campaign aimed at smearing vegetarians! They had a lot of other idiotic statements in that campaign.

How do I respond to those kind of idiotic claims? I usually just give them a thumbs down, although for some reason at the moment I keep thinking of BB's. You wouldn't happen to know why that is would you?

I make a point not to argue with meat eaters.
My favorite argument that I heard in the past
was this one:

" With all the human problems that there are:
poverty, homelessness, wars, crime etc.
How can you possibly be worried about
animals suffering? I think you vegans have
a lack of priorities".

My answer,

" What are you doing specifically that takes of
so much of your time and energy that
prevents you from making some changes
in your life that will reduce the suffering
of an innocent farm animal? Which of these
problems are you fighting so hard to solve?

I never got an answer to that question.

V&P is right. People who think plants
have feelings should ask Snap, Crackle,
and Pop for their opinion one more time.

I don't know if it's my favourite but it's the one I hear most often...
Mostly men tell me to eat a steak to stay healthy or get healthy if I have a cold...meat=health apparently. (I disagree)

Millions of people and several cultures that don't eat meat seem to have less deadly diseases than the ones that consume animal products... Diseases like heart disease, stroke and some cancers like colon, prostate and breast.
Asian/Eastern cultures come to mind that I've read about don't seem to suffer as much food related illness as us Westerners.
Maybe I'm wrong but for me animal protein in my system is bad.
I usually respond that I'm allergic to animal protein and I'm doing fine with the fabulous veggie products available on the market now.

There are several other 'theories' I hear a lot but they are too dumb to even mention...like the religious angle that we were put here to dominate & control all the animals...see, told ya it was dumb.

I've heard that one too.Its so untrue.Actually meat is not good for humans to eat.Especially with the drugs they pump into the animals & the fillers they add to their food such as newspaper.Every pound of meat has thousnds of parasite eggs in it.For those that want to know why I choose not to eat meat besides the facts that I have listed:

I like yours. I just read that most carnivores have intestines that equal about 3 times the length of their body, while we are closer to herbivores whose intestines are about twelve times their body length. But my favorite is that it's okay to eat meat because they are slaughtered humanely. Big deal if they are not treated humanely in life---kept in cages where they can't move, wallow in their own feces, 20 percent die of disease despite the huge doses of antibiotics, and the injured are allowed to suffer for days.

Not just plants, but yeast and bacteria, too. Oh no! Whenever I take a bite of my PB&J I'm killing millions of bacteria! Guess I should eat meat! LOLOL

My "favorite" is "vegetarians don't eat meat, fish isn't meat, therefore it's okay for vegetarians to eat fish!" (And don't get me started about "pollo-vegetarianism" and "flexitarianism". *rolls eyes* It's fine if they want to eat that way, healthy even, but PLEASE don't call yourselves vegetarians if you eat animals...)

I usually respond by taking a few deep breaths and explaining that vegetarians don't eat FLESH, i.e. animals, and that I therefore don't want to eat the tuna sandwich, but thanks for the offer - to you have anything *actually* vegetarian on the menu?"

I was a vegetarian. I thought I was eating a good diet; then I had a stroke (I was young) and lots of my hair started falling out.

Turns out soy is the evil toxic problem from H*ll. Soy is the foundation for vegetarianism in the USA and elsewhere but it is very dangerous for people, especially women.

Not sure I can second your emotions. I would rather not eat meat but I think the human system is made for meat eating. Early humans ate meat a foraged for plants; they were not vegetarians.

It is just too difficult for vegetarians to get enough protein.

Yeah, when I was a Veggie it used to annoy the heck out of me to have people announce they were vegetarian all they at were veggies and fish.

Yeah I like the whole "plants feel pain as well!"

If plants could feel pain they would need a central nervous system, they don't have one.
