Does anyone think that guys and gals who hunt foxes shouldn't ask questions about vegans and vegetarians and their choice of food? They obviously have no inkling of the meaning of veganism/vegetarianism if they slaughter foxes, and probably other animals, so are they best-placed to question such lifestyles?

and I thought it would add to the rainbow of colors on my kabobs. Also, is it even better to marinate (peppers, eggplant, mushrooms, tomato, onion, zuchinni, tofu) OVERnight than just the two hours in my recipe? Is it important to marinate in the fridge instead of room temperature? Thanks!

What made you want to become one? I had watched some video on a vegetarian website called Meet Your Meat. it was about factory farms and how they treat the animals. not only do i now feel disgusted when looking at meat, but I feel really awful for what animals had to go through to end up in our stomachs.
anyways, did you become a vegetarian like that or some other way?

1. drink organic milk? (taken from healthy cows)
2. I kow you use alot of the *factory farming* and environment reasons. But say your neighbor was growing healthy, happy cows and slaughtered them fast (with a sharp knife). What's wrong with eating it? (now if you say its immoral to kill him than ur saying to a lot of religions that their books are wrong in allowing meat-eating). In alot of religions God does ALLOW meat-eating, so how do we convince them to not eat meat if there are no environmental or ethical values cocerned? And there is also for health reasons, but meat in moderatio is good for you. Thanks

Aparently If something has under 2% of an animal product, it is still vegan
Personally I avoid ALL animal products
But is this true?

i mean, i am vegan but i do not throw paint on people who have fur or leather on, and i really try hard not to shove my views down peoples throats (though its verrrrry difficult not to) and there are plenty of people in this section who sure as hell arent psycho! but there are those few extremist that have branded our label forever. so how can we stop this tag-along lable while still trying to stand up for animals? is there a way?

If Guinness Marmite is vegetarian (and I accept explanation), why does it not show on the jar that it is veggie (as does ordinary martmite?).

Had conflicting answers to this. It is readily available at Tesco - does not state "vegetarian" as does ordinary marmite. I cannot find any information on Marmite site - so still am no wiser!!

I need to make a vegetarian meal for my husband to take to an office party. Either a cold dish or something that can go to work in a crockpot would be best, they don't have a kitchen so he won't be able to heat it up when gets there. Thanks!

Ive been considering vegetarianism for environmental, ethical and health reasons. In my religion God sees no difference between vegans and meat-eaters so I cant argue its more ethical. All muslims agree that the manner in which factory farms kill animals is unlawful. But we have local halal farms which slaughter the animals humanely. If they ask me why I don't eat that what should I say? I can't make stuff up and say its more humane because God does allow it. Thanks for answers! (and plz accomodate to my situation; im not gonna play with God's words)

If so what good is the yogurt in the grocery store?

I know arguments for both sides i.e. - the use of pesticides on local produce, and the consumption of oil and pollutants on shipping organics. It's a tough call, which is better for me and all of us.
Do you have other arguments that will help sway my decision?

I am not a vegetarian, though i would like to be. I have three small children though, and dont feel that i should put it on them. I am just curious about what meat you miss the most? I know i would miss salmon and tuna terribly, though i could do without the rest of it!!
And are any of you ever tempted???

Im not a very sensitive person...but i feel as though in a place were I should be able to find answers and ask questions...what I have to say is ridiculous. I have been a *Vegetarian* for years...and I all of a sudden get ripped of my *title* because I eat fish?..Im sure i will be ridiculed for what I just said...For the record I was introduced to vegetarianism by my doctor who put me on a vegetarian DIET because of my staggering health probelms. I didnt do it because of animal rights or anything like that(though I do respect those who do).I do not eat beef or poultry...I also do not drink milk(but that is because I am Lactose intolerant) I eat almost every single veggie known to man....and.....here it comes again....I do Eat Fish. Main reason I eat fish is because I have a very loving mother who basically lives on eating fish and when I go to her house to hang and check up on her she makes me dinner which is almost 99.3% of the time a dish that very much includes fish. I cant deny her
