I would never eat or take the secretions (milk and eggs) from sentient beings. Animals are capable of awareness, feeling and suffering. They are not property and should not be treated as such.
I am not religious but I believe a diet that is obtained through non- violence is the most peaceful and loving choice. It would seem to me that God would approve.

1. Cows milk, organic or not, is made for baby cows. Human breast milk is made for humans. Milk is designed for infants, not adults.
2a. There is no reason to slaughter an animal for food when you be perfectly healthy without taking a life. How happy can the cows be if you are slicing them up with a sharp knife?
b. Not everyone follows the same, or any, religion. Your religion may say its ok, while my religion may forbid it. You also have to consider religious interpretations. I can give you a ton of verses from the Bible that suggest eating meat is wrong. I bet you can give me just as many verses that condone eating meat. So which one of us is right?
c. Meat is full of saturated fat and cholesterol. Meat in moderation is good for you compared to meat in excess. It is not as good for you as eating a healthy vegetarian diet.

Ya know, people like you come in here ALL the time with your silly questions and speeches. We don't eat meat because it's a choice just as you do eat it because it's a choice. I personally don't find it very appetizing to chew on rotting animal flesh...but I'm glad you do.
Vegans don't drink milk bcause it's an animal by product..it does not matter what the cow ate.

Just beacuse a book says somthing does not mean that I am going to throw away all my beliefs. I'm sorry but if god says that it is ok to eat meat does not mean I am going to think that it is ok. An animal should never have his/her life taken away becuase someone wants a burger that is just going to give them so many different diseases. Meat even in moderation is never good for you. It leads to high colestrol, high blood pressure, heart disease, some sorts of cancers, etc. Theres so many different problems with it BEFORE even going to the rights of the animal.

1. I don't drink organic milk because there's no reason to.
2. If my neighbor grew happy, healthy cows, I'd still object to him killing them. If by saying this, I'm saying a lot of religions are wrong, then so be it.
3. Meat in moderation is good for you? Good, then go away and eat it or something and stop bothering us.

My best friend is a vegan and I'm vegetarian and she said that she feels bad about milking the cow and "How would you like it if, lets say ur a girl, and someone comes with this big basket and starts to pull on ur boobs. EWW!"
that was what she said. And I can explain the part about meat, we feel that it's just mean to kill cows, and yes we think that its immoral to kill another life.

Actually, none of the world's religions encourage meat eating. The halal and kosher laws are designed to make it onerous to eat meat and to give one pause about taking another's life and eventually guide us to eating no meat.
In Christianity, it is said that man has been given dominion over the earth and all its creatures. It does not mean we should eat them. The President of a country has dominion over that country's subjects. It does not mean that he or she can eat them!!!
Hinduism and Buddhism actively advocate a vegetarian diet.
A lot of what passes for religious sanction for eating meat is actually a corruption of what each religion's holy books actually teach. It has been distorted over the centuries by corrupt priests and religious 'leaders' so that their own meat-eating tendencies could be given religious sanction.

1.Political stand points. PEOPLE VEGITARIAN IS A HEALTH CHOICE VEGAN IS HEALTH AND POLITICS
2. We still take the cows milk with out consent, and farmers pretty much rape their cows for the milk production to become greater
3. It's not religous, please take religion away from This thank you <3
4. Meat has so many drugs in it that farmers give their cows
5. Kosher is the "one shot polocy [spelling?]" where yu must kill the animal humanly. /Thats ok, but it's still A LIFE TAKEN AWAY
Now these are just my reasons. Please don't think that I'm trying to be all "Vegans are the best" or "We're cooler" We just have different views

In the book, " The Cruise of the Snark",
Jack London wrote: " I like. That is all".
Apply this philosophy to vegetarianism
and maybe it will make sense for you.
Vegetarians like to eat plants and not
animals. No more explanation needed.
Since the concept of objecting to animal
cruelty is so impossible to comprehend
maybe that will simplify it for you.
My hope is that you will ponder this in your
sleep and yell, " EUREKA I HAVE IT. I HAVE
FOUND IT." and like Zarathustra be relieved
of your intellectual problem.
