One family friendly veggie meal is fondue. Kids love it! (you can get a fondue pot for a couple of dollars at a thrift store) make a cheese, alfredo, or spagetti sauce, and provide a large variety of interesting dunkers such as rosemary steamed new potatoes, cheese tortellini, cheese ravioli, garlic bread, mozzerella bites, brocolli, tater tots, steamed pearl onions, etc. My daughter hosts slumber parties every weekend, and we always do some spin on fondue. Her non veggie friends love it, and are not even aware that there is never any meat. You can vary the sauces and dunkers according to taste. I make a fancier cheese fondue for myself, but the kids like the jarred stuff. I just chuck it in to heat it up, and prepare the platter of dunkers. Couldnt be easier. Its a great family fun time too. You might also try a vegetarian lasagna, with zuchini or other veggies-if you don't mention that there is no meat, they are likely not to even notice. Same for tacos made with mashed beans and cheese, and well seasoned with taco sauce. When I started going vegetarian in my house, I didn't say anything about it-I simply started eliminating meat where I could. My daughter (now 12 and a total veggie by choice) didn't realize she had been going without meat for a long time. I made sure the food tasted good, and she simply didnt miss is at all. Portabello mushrooms are a great meat substitute-you can grill them and served them just like a hamburger, complete with cheese and toppings. I cant give you recipes as I just chuck stuff in a pot until it looks right, but I hope this gave you some ideas

The Random living house Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language defines a vegetarian as "someone who does not consume or does not have self assurance in eating meat, FISH, chicken, or, at times, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, yet subsists on vegetables, end result, nuts, grain, etc."

There is a recipe for this asian dish. You make lo mein(like skinny spaghetti noodles). All you have to do is like sort of fry the noodles in a big pan with soy sauce. After the noodles are done put them aside in a large bowl. Then you cut up carrots, fresh broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and scallions(plus anything else you like) and cook it in the same pan, put add moe soy sauce. Serve vegetables over noodles and enjoy!=]

I think vegetarian chili is a very good choice. It can please both vegetarians and non vegetarians. You can serve it with rice and sour cream. I love Chili so I would give it a 9/10. Make it a day in advance and put it in the fridge. It tastes even better.

For dessert you can make an easy coconut cream pie. This is a very easy and good recipe. Use ready Graham crust. 10/10.
