It was instant pudding. Just add milk and wisk for two minutes. It should set in five minutes. LOL That was hours ago.

It does not have casein in it. Casein is the protein from milk, and is found nowhere else. No, you do NOT need it to live (duh). This is the reason some soy cheeses aren't as creamy or melty as dairy cheeses. You could just try corn starch, like some other people suggested. Other than that , I don't know what you could do.

Erin, gelatin is made from boiled animal tissue, so it's not vegetarian, and ESPECIALLY not vegan.

I don't think that it has anything to do with the soy milk. I have made pudding with it for my granddaughter several times and have had no problem.

Are you sure that the pudding mix was good?

Lmao. I think it's because soy milk is not at creamy as milk milk...
Like soy milk doesn't froth the same way that milk milk does
And I sound like a retard saying milk milk....

Because you made it w/soy milk! It doesn't have the protein you need to make your pudding set. You need some gelatin (for example Knox) Take an envelope of gelatin, dissolve it in warm water, let it "bloom" and stir it in your pudding. Make sure the pudding isn't too hot or you'll "kill" the gelatin. Or you could use cornstarch. Mix about 1 teaspoon w/warm water and add to hot pudding. There should be no lumps after you give it a good stir. If it's still too thin try more cornstarch.

You haven't given us enough details! There are any number of reasons you could be having a problem with your pudding, many totally unrelated to using soymilk.

If you would, please post the ingredients used and what cooking method please. Then we can tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.

Edit:

Halle, I feel your pain! For some reason I started thinking of Old MacDonald. ;-)
